Default After Market Supechargers - C6 LS3 A6

Do supercharged C6 cars with after market blower units and front mounted air to air intercoolers - like inline with the radiator - tend to run hotter? I'm talking about normal driving, with some modest boost - 7-8 psi, no Alky, centrifugal type - like A+A, Procharger, Paxton etc.? I know a 160 degree thermostat is installed many times but sitting in traffic with the AC on in 90 degree heat? I live in the Northeast, mostly drive on weekends.

Experiences of others would be appreciated - Thx

Update 2 23 18

Looking at at an A&A system. They offer a larger capacity radiator for the C6 for $650. Has anyone installed one of these? Difficulties in fitment?

Thx

Yes, the car will run hotter in traffic due to the intercooler blocking airflow to the radiator. Temps all depend upon set up and ambient temps. An A&A or ECS kit at 7-8 psi should have no problems where you live. I run an A&A kit in VA and it will hit a max of about 225 in traffic during summer months.

Prior build was a cammed LS2 with an ECS 1500 kit. Live in NJ. Flogged the car on the highway for multiple pulls over the course of 90 minutes in 96 degree heat. Highest temp I saw post pull was 229 with the AC on. Normally saw 205-210 in stop and go traffic with AC. If I was moving, temps were under 200 with AC on.
