Default Purchased '13 inferno grand sport a6, supercharger time

Ive had many wildly modified cars from a fully built and twin turbo Stang to the most recent 615rwhp hci c6 z06..
just bought a '13 inferno orange 3lt grand sport with a6 auto trans.
Id prefer to not change the cam or headers/midpipe.
Was thinking just a supercharger and meth. Ive always liked procharger but have never had one, but Ive had vortechs and Paxton's. Don't want a positive displacement, is rather centrifugal.

Thinking d1sc and alky meth kit.. what kinda rwhp and et's are we looking at?
how much am I leaving on the table without a cam and headers/midpipe?
Goal is low 10sec car, my c6z06 was a low to mid 10sec car so I'd like similar or faster. I was running 10.5s at 136 in the heat and humidity with the c6z06.

I would go with either an ECS or A&A kit with meth. Both make better complete kits than Procharger and have excellent customer service. Low 10s and 700whp is easily done with a 1500 or Ti trim. Cam and headers will probably hold you back by at least 50whp.

Congrats! Post some pics.

You don't have to swap the cam but headers/midpipe are a must. Those stock cats won't like boost and meth and will rob you of hp.

Thanks guys, I'll def post pics. There's some things I have to do right off the bat.. look wise.. cant stand the chrome wheels.. not on inferno orange.. ha

ive always heard great things abt a&a and ecs but Ive always love the procharger head units and the local shop that's well known for gm cars is partial to procharger.. not sure if they sell ecs or a&a.

im considering the headers and hi flow cat mid pipe..

anyone have input on a 3200-3400 stall? And how they feel on the street?

thanks!

What shop is it? I'm partial to the PC headunits also. I ran the kit at 780 just fine until I switched to 10 rib and needed a new bracket. If not for that I'd still have the original PC setup. The D1SC headunit is great. Loved mine but got a great deal on my D1X.

PC makes a good head unit, but the rest of the kit is lacking. If you want a PC setup, buy the A&A bracket and PC head unit. It will cost you a lot more, and then you can tell people you have a procharger. Power wise it won't have any advantage to the Ti/1500. D1SC/Ti/1500 will easily max out that motor/tranny/etc and make 650-700rwhp with ease.

If you want to keep factory'ish exhaust I'd do LS7/Z06 manifolds and cats. Cats survived fine on mine even with meth. I know everyone says they won't, and I didn't expect them to last forever, but I never had any issues with them

I did full z06 exhaust basically, manifolds to tips. It bolted right on no issues. Added a vacuum line to the flaps and voila quiet when you aren't on it and louder once you get close to boost

I'd put a stall in it for sure. Might as well go all out and cam it too.

Here is the difference between stock manifolds w/cats vs arh 1 7/8 long tubes with the off road pipes. Nothing crazy. The biggest difference was the sound. Only other mods are a&a kit at 9 lbs on 93.

Why does everyone keep saying 650-750rwhp depending.. most setups im seeing are only 550rwhp

guessing it takes a cam and exhaust to make 700+rwhp?

Thanjs for all the posts

You're looking at the wrong setups then. Base ECS kit, long tubes and alky control meth is good for upwards of 700. Add stage 1 fuel system and cam and you can go to 750, been done hundreds of times now.

Can also be turned down and "only" make 550-600 if that's what you want and want it to be safer.

550 is usually with the restrictor still in on the ecs kit or the larger pulley on the a&a and running on straight 93.

Ahh I see, thanks.

so what kinda boost are most people running to make 700+rwhp? 12-14?

I might just have to run headers and a catted x pipe. I like kooks, had them on my c6z. Are most going with the 1 7/8 or 2"

thx

I saw the bracket for like 900? Do you have to change piping or something else?

You want the whole A&A kit. Everything on it is nicer. BOV, pipes, intercooler, etc. Much better to buy the A&A everything minus the head unit, then just buy a head unit from PC.

Going to land up spending $1000-2000 more just to say you have a PC, if that is worth it to you.

Ahh.. I see. Thanks for the info

what stall do most of these setups go with? 3200 or 3400?

how would a stall like that feel on the street. Like a slight pause? Kinda loose feeling? I had a stalled Stang a long time ago and it was pretty annoying but I think it was a high stall

The 8 rib version is like $900. The one I got was $1200 I think.

Stalls in modern full lock up autos are amazing. Drive like stock unless you punch it. I run a circle D 4000 stall in my wife's mustang, and she never even noticed.

I had a 4l65 in my zo6 with a circle d 5c and it didn't bother me a bit. Just a little more "roar" until it locks up. Remember to get a good cooler for the trans as well. I think on the new car I'm gonna run either a circle d 3600 triple or a yank 3800 single. Still researching that.

Threw some blk wheels on it, looks so much better

Got some carbon w/ inferno lettered grand sport emblems ckming in.. wrapping the led tails and side markers in blk.. most likely wrapping the halo and root black. Possibly mirrors.
Not sure if I'm going to do a splitter and wing. I love the apr c1 splitter on my c6z but I did roughy them up.. the katech wing is awesome, but $1300 sucks ha.
Still not sure what I'm going to do abt the power adder.
