stock ls3 ecs1500 w/o restrictor plate-no meth, no exhaust
Whats this combo usually make?
considering my options.. id like meth but want to run cats.. dont want to have loud smelly exhaust on this car like my last..
whats a stock ls3 w/o meth make? resitrctor plate removed.. no longtubes.. stock cats.. no cam.. etc.
im sure most would recommend going with meth, longtubes, offroad x pipe..
ive seen some stock ls3 a6s run 10.40-10.5s without meth. think that was all stock and restrictor plate in?

Maybe I'm just use to it but my car doesn't smell like gas. It's loud but doesn't smell.
When I had previous cars on e85 then I could smell it but on 91/meth I don't.
I know it's not the list you suggested but I have a stock ls3 with longtubes, corsa exhaust no cats, ecs with plate open up to 11psi and I run 91/meth I made 630whp/580tq dyno the car in Arizona heat.

Put LS7 manifolds/cats/bi mode axle back on it. My cats survived over a year like that. I wouldn't expect them to survive 10 back to back to back pulls or anything but for me they were fine. I did a 1/2 mile event or two with the cats still on too (though I didn't get many runs in)
Factory LS2/3 cats don't hold up nearly as well as LS7 IMO.
They still might fail, but if you're dead set on keeping them that is what I'd do

Burning Brakes
Headers with catted x pipe. Go down to the muffler shop and have them cut the cats off and make you some test pipes with v bands on them and install some v bands in the cats so you can put those back on also. Right there you can have the best of both worlds just swap them out as needed. I originally had the ARH catted x pipe in my car with 700 rwhp running meth. Put some hard miles on the cats with no issues. Looked great when I took them off and sold them.
