Everything is back on and should be ready to get re-tuned.

Trying to spend some time cleaning things up while the weather is still crappy. Made an alternator colver, radiator cover, coil covers, and an air damn for the front of the intercooler. These are just rough mounted, need to make brackets for everything. All the cutouts gave backing plates painted candy apple red like my intake. The rest will be gloss black.

Nice touch! Curious to see if that shroud around the intercooler helps. Did you install the deflector plates that came with the kit for the sides of the intercooler? I had trouble getting mine in since I have an aftermarket radiator and the deflectors are too wide for it. I do notice my car gets hotter the faster I go, which is just back asswards. Its due to the shrouding im sure. That area up front looks really void without anything up there so this is probably as functional as it is aesthetically pleasing.

Yeah it will be interesting to see what it does to engine temps and stuff. I would have to think it will help quite a bit vs nothing at all. I didn’t use the deflectors because I only received one. And I made my own brackets for the intercooler so I don’t know if they would even work. I can always make some sides if needed.

Got some covers on, rerouted vacuum lines, cleaning up some electrical. Fired it up for the first time last night. Everything seems to work good with no leaks. Hopefully have it back at the tuner next week.

I hadn't checked on your progress for a while. Looks like my timing was good! It's been a long haul to completion, but it looks like you are really close.

Having some weird issues with fuel pressure. Let the car warm up and it was around 90psi at the regulator, adjusted it to 58psi. Went to start up the car about 4 hours later and it’s back to 90psi. Any ideas?

Why did you remove the AN fittings off of the BOV's? Just to clean everything up?

The blue and red fittings started to look tacky to me. Someday ill replace them with black an fittings. The hose I used was just stuff I had laying around, its actually just 1/4 vacuum hose with braided loom around it (stuff for electrical wires).

You need to do an overall review once it's done on fitment and what not.. I might ditch my blower and go twin.

I know, I was thinking about that the other day. I think I might just start a new thread where it just summarizes my 30 page build.

Broke a v band clamp last night, waiting for that to come in then it will go back to the shop.

Looking forward to the results!

I thought about signing up for the big blue mile but had a mishap where the throttle stuck wide open on me during one of the roll race events at I29 last year. At 140 MPH I was able to throw it into neutral, turn off the key and come to a stop in the run off grass area before any major damage, but made me realize high speed stuff isn't for me. One little freak things happens and you're done. I may change my mind once I upgrade my cage and chassis, but right now my car should make good power and only has a 6 point roll bar.

I would strongly recommend taking safety extremely seriously. Full SFI 5 or higher rated fire suit, shoes, gloves, head sock (I got my entire fire suite kit from Profox Racing for a very fair deal), good helmet, and for those speeds a head and neck restraint for sure. Just my $.02
