Either will work fine @ WOT, it's part throttle and idle where ID's shine. They batch injectors together with the same characteristics that are all within a tight range and provide very accurate data to be used in the tune, which is far more complicated than just flow rates, especially at low PW's (which you'll inevitably be at often during idle/cruise with big injectors)

Some people love them, some people say it's a waste of money.. I know I've had ID1700X's idle perfectly fine on gasoline on a stock LS3, hard to beat that

I happened to notice that on this H pipe that connects to the down pipes is not an actual H pipe. The tube in the middle is just for looks, there is no cut outs for the exhaust to actually cross over. Does a twin turbo set up need an X or H pipe?

Seriously... they welded in that little pipe but didn't cut out areas on the main tubes for it to actually do anything? lol

For a turbo setup I highly doubt it'd matter. Even if it did somehow cost some small amount of power (which I don't think is likely) you could always turn the boost up another 0.5psi or something and make up the difference.

I wouldn't worry about it, though it is pretty funny they'd even bother welding that short section in if they weren't going to cut out the pipes to make it functional

Maybe thats for strength ? Turbos dont have an exhaust pulse so I wouldnt think you would need it anyway. I would think it would hurt more then help.

I thought it was pretty funny, had to laugh at that one. I would think if its just for strength a flat bar across the two would be sufficient. Oh well at least it looks good.

Haha, it does look good. I just can’t get over how cheap this kit is, I really hope it works well.

I'll be watching this thread closely for sure...the kit sure looks nice and I like the idea of having the turbos tucked under instead of out in the fender wells.

Im taking a trip out to the Ozarks with my car in late October, don't think ill have time to tune it by then otherwise I would have started by now.

After some more thinking about this kit 2 main concerns popped in my head. First part of the CIA for the turbos is about a 2 foot long silicon coupling molded to fit around the front end components. I like the ideal of mounting the filters in the front bumper but Im worried about the silicon collapsing. In fact even in their instructions it said anything over 600hp could cause them to collapse. The plan is to mimic the silicon tube with a 304SS tube.
Second this kit uses 4 waste-gates to control the boost, with all 4 discharge pipes exiting right under the engine bay. Should I be concerned about all that exhaust fumes/heat at wot? Id like to do a few mile and half mile events next year.

You might be able to reroute them into the exhaust stream. Would have to see it mocked up on the car though.

Too bad it has open waste gates, hate the sound.
As far as fumes, I don't think it will be a problem since they won't open up until you're on the move under boost. Can't believe it has 4 waste gates..

Keep us updated. I looked on the ON3 Performance site and did not see any kits for Corvettes being made.
I've had my ON3 twins on my Mustang for 14 months now with no problems at all other than the horrible fitment when they were installed. Can't beat the price.

Theoretically a wastegate vented to the atmosphere vs back into the exhaust should be no different correct?
For some reason you have to search "corvette" on their website to find the kit.

Yeah as long as the exhaust system is free flowing it shouldn't be much difference in performance. Just a lot quieter to have them routed back into the exhaust.

It actually can make a HUGE difference in performance. Especially on a undersized turbo or small AR housing. I've seen 100+rwhp gains on a ls3 setup swapping to dumped gates, better boost control, and quicker spool.

Sound is subject, but it can make a huge difference on performance.

Keep us informed. I've been eyeballing this setup, my V3 Si is pretty much maxed out, and this could be a fun route if I want more power.

Yes, it can if you're using an undersized turbine housing (like you said) or restrictive exhaust, or just a bad design in the way that it merges the waste gate gasses into the downpipe.

Too me it sounds like a loud exhaust leak coming from the engine while boosting (on my supra). On my twin turbo mustang with my cheap Chinese turbo kit, I can make easily over 1000rwhp without all the noise or any other compromises.

Subbed!

I will be in the market for boost soon and if this kit turns out to be good I can definitely see myself going this direction instead of a supercharger.

Looking forward to your updates.

No real updates yet, hoping my walbro 450 and flex fuel kit come in the week or so. My buddy in town has a set of NIB FID 2000cc injectors he'd sell me for $1k. Ill probably pick those up unless someone else thinks differently.

It'll take more than that to run corn, aside from the obvious of more than a Walbro 450. You'll need to replace all rubber hoses with Teflon or stainless hard lines. And you'll want stainless injectors too which the 2k's aren't.
