Is simple green ok? I ran out of the K&N air filter cleaner. I have a ton of their oil.

Its the filter on an A&A kit.

The K&N stuff works great, but can just soak it in a bucket or water and detergent and then rinse it out. Works fine too.

I have used Mean Green cleaner/degreaser for years to clean oiled cotton gauze filters in the past with no ill effects. Simple Green should be fine. Just saturate the filter, then let it sit for a while to allow the dirt and oil to be dissolved. Dunk the filter in a 5 gallon bucket of clean water and gently swirl it around until the filter is clean. You will likely have to empty the bucket and fill it back up with clean water one time.

Simple Green should be fine. I’ve used it before on my Halltech with no issues. Use it for all sorts of things. Love the stuff. Even used it before to wash the beer mugs in the garage!
