Just put a good rotating assembly in an ls2 block, ls3 heads, and pile ungodly amounts of psi to it

Yeah what did you decide on? For your power goals I would have went LS3 or LSA block and call it good.

No real point in sleeving an iron block so safe to assume aluminum.

Didn't you fancy going for a 4.25 stroke? Lol nice choice though. Are they going to put that combo in their site?

Most iron block 5.3L's are maxed out with a 3.9" (LS1 size) bore. Some won't even go that big safely.

I have seen quite a few other (none LS) iron blocks have liners installed to help keep the blocks together. I always thought the liners were 'thougher' than normal iron used for blocks as well.

I don’t think stroking it would have offered any benefit since the car is supercharged. I haven’t looked at their site recently, but I don't think mine is cookie cutter. They are using the Dart CCW crank and coating the pistons. Both of which were upgrades.

They said they were ~6 weeks out when I ordered. I assume that's ~6 weeks before they start mine, so I'm guessing late January-ish. Crank is supposed to be ready around Christmas.

Crank now won't be ready until late February. Considering alternatives unless HPR can find one sitting on a shelf somewhere.

I have that crank in my new engine. It seems to be a great piece and priced awesome with its features. Center weights and billet. Nothing wrong with callies cranks if you are in a hurry. NOT a compstar though.
