Default C6Z blower cam suggestions

I have a 2006 C6Z with ecs 1500 blower. What are your suggestions as far as cams go? Ultimate goal is 700rwhp.

Thanks.

Stock cam will do that with ease.

Otherwise contact your cam guru of choice, fill out one of their forms or talk to them, and order. Pat G, Ed C, LJMS, BTR, Cam Motion, etc.

Some people want high end power, some low, some stupid crappy idle, some want a cam just for sound, some want max performance, some have big heads and RPM, some have high compression, others do not. That is why you have a cam spec'd for your mods/goals.

I just went through this and had one custom spec'd by Cam Motion with similar goals, BNIB... and in St. Louis. May go another direction with my motor. LMK if you're interested.

Sadly it seems vast majority of people do cams for idle sound, and not actual performance. You can have a blower cam that sounds basically stock and makes 1200+rwhp and drives like a dream, with near stock gas mileage, or a "cool sounding choppy chop" cam that gets a ton of likes on youtube but makes the car drive like crap, kills mpg, and bleeds off boost.

Those are opposite ends of the spectrum. There is a middle ground, of course.

Which is why talking to a cam expert is great. Finding that good middle ground.

Hit up Futral Motorsports. They’ve been using Cam Motion for years since it’s local to them and always spec badass cams. They get overlooked because they don’t do the marketing they used to but been the game a long time. Only cams I will run are from them.

I went PatG spec’d cam, see what it does in the spring. He’s good and I’d recommend him to anyone. But you can’t argue with Detoxx, if Futral wasn’t good he wouldn’t be putting down 1000 on a stock block LS3.

Stock cam will do as much as that motor can handle. I’d leave it at 650 and have fun.

Agree completely. My cam has very mild chop. Almost sounds stock. Makes great power, perfect drivability and very easy on the valve train.

Agree... I used cam motion to grind mine, had Pat G spec it. They were awesome.. literally went from calling them cam motion on a Thursday afternoon to cam in my hands by Tue or Wed the next week. Haven't had any issues.

I already have a blown C5 with a custom blower cam, trust me it's not about the sound. I'm looking for performance. I just figured I'd ask here because I'm not that familiar with Ls7 set-ups
