Ah that makes sense. I spin mine to 6300 at the moment. How high do you spin yours?

Assuming a 6500 rpm shift it is overspilling it slightly. I run a 3.47/10% * rib on mine.

Ok so I tried something out and it backfired on me. I wanted to try to hit that 9.0. So, I removed passenger seat and installed a Braille Battery to help with weight. It was a disaster. During my burnout car locked up one rear wheel and then another after next attempt. Car would completely stall on the line and at end of first nosedive and then pick back up. Couldn’t turn off active handling and had service abs lights on. I removed all ABS fuses to no avail. I Installed seat at the track and dash was still lighting up like a Christmas tree. I get home and remove battery overnight and now I can turn traction control off but not active handling. Anyone had this problem? Thanks in Advance!

I put one in my car and had strange problems. reduced power and active handling issues. Installed a new red top and haven't had any of those problems since. Cool battery but my car didn't agree LOL

Also the Braille battery seemed to work fine till I added the blower.

Did you ever sort this out? If so, what did you do? I’ve never been a fan of lightweight batteries. These cars need all the juice they can get, IMV. The new lithium batteries seem to be awesome, but the pricing is steep! I’m running an Odyssey PC1200 in my car, mounted in the right rear cubby. It’s smaller, but a few pounds heavier than stock though - like ~38lbs, iirc.
BTW: I think it’s only a matter of time before you hit an 8.99 in that thing anyhow. It’s friggin awesome to see such a simple setup running 9.1s @150+

I installed seat and factory battery along with my stock wheels, and as soon as I pulled out of my driveway all lights went off. Drove car and all seems well , so not really sure what the problem was. I did order HP Tuners Pro just in case it happens again. I really hope I can go back and get that 9.0! Not sure of 8.99 is possible but it may be! Atleast I will be able to log the runs now, so who knows!!

Man, that is weird. Good move on getting HPT. I believe that with data logging and tweaking the tune, with the right air, you will hit that 8.99. That 150+mph trap speed tells me so.
BTW: a converter tweak may be your ticket to a 8.99. After you get some data logged, I would suggest that you share that with Circle D and see if they think a little more stall is in order. I would leave it the way it is for now and try dialing the tune first though.

Most definitely weird! I do hope with good air and tweaking I can get there. It probably won’t be until this fall due to temps and my work! Regardless, I am happy the way it is now!
