What exhaust do I need?
I finally got a corvette. It's a 2012 base A6. It's bone stock. I plan to go SC, meth, fuel system etc. For right now I'm doing ARH with the offroad x pipe. My car doesn't have the NPP exhaust. I was looking at the Billy Boat fusion catback. Does anyone have this setup? When I'm playing with the car I don't mind if it's loud. When I'm cruising or my wife is with me I don't want any drone. If it's in quiet mode will it be so loud you can't talk or have to blast the radio to hear it? Would I be better off to find a used NPP instead of the Billy Boat?
I know this has been debated to death, but since I'm going from stock to headers. Should I get the 1 7/8 or 2"? Later down the road I'm going forged, cam and aftermarket heads. Even if the 2" hurts the low end wouldn't that be a good thing for a street car trying to get traction?
This might be a dumb question but if I'm doing a SC next year can I buy a cold air induction now? With a SC do you even use the cold air induction kit or is that part of the SC kit? Any help with these questions will greatly be appreciated. I'm a newbie in the c6 world and want to do things right the first time. Thanks in advance.

I don’t know anything about the Billy Boat mufflers, but based on what you want, I think your best bet would be to try to find some used NPP mufflers. You’ll love the “Jekyll to Hyde” transformation of the NPP system when they go into bypass mode.
I would also bet that the 2” ARH headers will make more power everywhere in the power curve than your stock manifolds, or if not, they certainly won’t make your car a dog down low. Remember that conventional wisdom used to dictate that cylinder heads with huge intake ports like the LS3s come with wouldn’t work either, because of poor port velocity, blah, blah...
I also wouldn’t waste any money on a cold air induction system now if you’re going to be bolting on a supercharger anytime in the foreseeable future. If anything, just pop the bottom of the shroud open to let in cooler air (do a search - it’s dead easy).
good luck with your build. I’m sure that you’ll get more input from more experienced folks than me.

With your future plans in mind I'd do the 2" arh with 3" Corsa Sport Catback. Don't waste your money on a cai.

I have kooks LT, off road x pipe with welded in resonators, and B&B Fusion catback. Very deep sound. loud at WOT still. With a cam it still wakes the kids no problem. With flaps shut on Highway it’s totally comfortable volume to relax. It is Jekyll and Hyde for sure. I really like it.

My 2009 Z06 has a billy boat exhaust with headers and an xpipe. Ive only owned it for a week, but I will tell you it does drone cruising at 1500rpm. I dont want to touch the car yet but I think I would like the stock NPP exhaust down the line for the mild-wild option.
Im actually not sure which BB exhaust it is, I have to try to get under there and see if there is some sort of model stamped onto the exhaust somewhere. I think its the PRT because it has the quad oval tips and no solenoids.

it depends on what kind of supercharger you use. my jackshaft TVS uses a normal CAI, but a centri or valley-style PD blower (LSA, Heartbeat, etc) uses different setups.

2” headers and try to find a NPP or Bi-Mode axleback.

Headers and the offroad right of the bat are going to be loud even with what would be considered a "not overly loud " system. Pretty much for current designs even though the bi-mode system can sound good the tips are entirely to small. That is my personal opinion and not a insult.
