My Boostrd 427 Build

My Boostrd 427 Build
My #7 piston broke on my ls7 so I’m going with a 427 ERL LSA block 6 bolt 1/2 inch stud block:
Goals: able to get 1000whp on e85 trying to stay on a budget
What rotating assembly: looking at eagle crank and rods with CP pistons
What fuel injectors: ?? Need help
What fuel pump: needs to be e85 capable??? Need help
Cam: boosted cam?
Oiling: stock ls7 oil pump?? Good enough? Dry sump
what clutch: ???
what blower: wanting a top deck is it better to go centri?
other: I’m not worried about the drive train as of now, looking to see what I can get on pump 91 will want flex fuel I’ll be having two tunes I guess.

Similar build to mine, ERL 4 bolt 427. I use a YSI with meth and N2O. Mine has been to together for about 5 year with several Texas Mile runs over 200mph. Around 950-1000 with the blower and more on juice. Made my own fuel system to support the power.
Good luck with you build, What are your plans for the car?

mostly street driven it’s my DD but the occasional 1/4 mile full mile monthly events not trying to break records mostly just want the power to beat anycar pulling up on me on the way to work LOL and a 9 sec car
made your own fuel system???
and is that power on e85?? Can I hit 800whp on 91?

With 91 and meth, you can hit 800whp with the right setup. I would build the fuel system to support your 1000whp goal by leaving room to grow. Most go with the Fore or ECS e85 capable fuel systems and you’ll probably want to go with at least ID 1300s for injectors.
I would also get a custom cam spec’d for your build to make good power and retain good driveability. For clutch, I would do a Mantic Triple. For the blower, I would go with either a YSI/2200R or F1A-94.

It will be much easier to make 1000 with a centi blower.
You are also looking at adding a lot of stroke to have a 427 when its not needed. The extra stroke is not going to make any real power. Stick with a 4" stroke imo.
The entry level forge cranks like compstar and eagle don't do well with blowers and big power. Do some research, especially with compstar and you will see people have had them flex. It happened to me. Look into at least a dragon slayer or better crank. I went with the dart center counter weighted crank.

800 with YSI should be no problem. I use the factory pump with a switched Magnafuel external pump. I have not used E85 on this setup.

i need to change accessory wise?

I’m not familiar with doing a LSA/9 conversion, but in addition to the blower kit, intercooler, fuel rails, etc, you might have to relocate some pullies. I would use a centri for your power goals because the LSA/9 blower will probably run out of steam on a 427.

Will be difficult to do LSA blower due to extended snout. It can be done, just more difficult. Just do a used centri kit for the time being.

My current build is a 427 also. Its a dart SHP block, dart billet centered countered weight crank, wiseco boostline rods and wiseco pistons. The crank priced really well for what it is. Cheaper than the billet callies crank and only slightly more expensive than a callies dragon slayer. The wiseco rods are a new design. They are made to hold big power and priced well. Wiseco pistons to top it off. They are known to make good pistons.

this rotating assembly is gonna kill me I want something that can hold 1000whp max 800whp on boost and 200 on the juice really not wanting to spend near 2k on just a crank I heard OEM ls7 cranks are good for 1400hp

If you haven't already, look through this thread. This is where I bought my engine.
