Default IAT nitrous timing retard

Was reading where you could use the iat sensor for changing timing using hptuners. I just installed my nitrous plate kit on my 08 c6 with a ls3. Have a nitrous outlet dedicated fuel cell also. Gonna run c16 in it I guess. Going to start with a 100 shot for now just to learn how it works ( first time nitrous user lol ) Is there somewhere that I can learn how to setup the iat on my car to pull timing on the spray? I would rather do that than buy a timing controller so I can learn more about using hp tuners also.
Thanks Dion

Get one of DSX flex timing kits. It allows you to wire it in so when you activate the nitrous it uses the flex fuel timing tables to reduce timing.

Its pretty cool. I may even have an extra one in my toolbox I'd sell ya if interested...

Run a J&S Safeguard. I have tons of experience with it and it NEVER failed me. That will absolutely prevent you from hurting anything. I can't post a link because he's not a vendor here...but a quick google will get you there.

I wouldn't suggest it if you're barely learning how to use HPTuners. That being said, it's pretty easy to setup. I use it on my DRY nitrous kit and it works really well.

J&S isn't software. It's a device you install.

What about using a LNC-2000 to retard timing? I am fairly new to the nitrous game as well and just ordered my 90mm plate kit and was wondering what type of timing should be pulled on a 100 shot. Car has CAI, Headers, No cats, Corsa, Dyno tune. Makes 446whp as it sits. Looking to hit the 525/535 range on 100 shot

Start high and work your way down. There's a general rule of 2 degrees per 50 shot. Depends on your total timing, fuel, efficiency, etc...
