I will add that if you don't use the boost reference the port in the regulator should be left open.

I always put cap on it, because every time the hood goes up someone walks over and says hey you're missing a hose right there.

I hear you. LOL. I read that is not good to cap it and kept hearing the same thing, so I put a small filter on it.

Thanks all.
Jacked the fuel pressure back up and it all seems to be fine...... after replacing the fuel pump the first time and the siphon pump the second time.
Pretty sure this “corvette shop” was ignorant of the system.
Problem now is I have a service fuel system warning and a CEL. Also fuel gauage is pegged past empty.
Any thoughts. Would love to be able to fix this without having to return the car to this shop. I sure hope the fix does not require the tank to be dropped again.

Do you know if they changed the fuel sending units too? It could be seeing the wrong resistance (can tune that). Have you tried pumping all the fuel out and seeing what the gauge does?

The first day,.... after a new fuel pump, then the siphon pump, then finally raising the fuel pressure back up, ..... even with 1/2tank of fuel the gauge read past full. I filled the tank, drove about 50miles and with no warning, the service fuel system appeared along with a the CEL.

I haven’t returned to this shop. I’ve been busy out of town and the car has been parked until today. Drove the car about 70 miles this morning, so now a total of 150miles since I filled the tank. When I returned home, I put the car on my ramp and checked the temp of the fuel tanks with a laser temp reader. Both tanks read about the same thing; at the bottom they were at approx 90* and half way up the sides the temp rose to 111*.this made me think that both tanks had about the same amount of fuel and all was well, except the gauge?

Just reset the CE light. If it detects that siphon isn't working then it goes to zero and gives a CE light. Now that it works it may need nothing more than reset.

Yes clear the codes one more time and see if it comes back now that it should be fixed.

Josh
Took your advice and erased the codes and the fuel gauge has returned to life.
Thanks for everyone’s input and especially your expertise.

I’m doin’ my happy dance

I think I'd be having a talk with this "shop" if I were you. Sounds like they cost you a lot more time and money than necessary.

Yeah. No doubt. Tuner should have known better than to turn the fuel pressure down like that.

Well, ....#$@#@&*!

After clearing the code (2068) and my fuel gauge returning to life, it has happened again. Gauge pegs zero, I get a “Service Fuel System” in the DIC and another 2068 code.

I’m beginning to suspect I may have a stuck float?

Ideas?

Stuck float, float bent, or hanging up, etc. Could be a number of things.
