You may want to check with A&A Corvette but I think at 800 rwhp you should still go with the YSI. It will be more efficient and run cooler.

I would highly recommend the secondary drive with at least an 8 rib to avoid slip. Put in a 10 rib if you want to leave room for growth. PPF Athena 6 bolt head gaskets with O-rings would also be a safety measure but are expensive (you can cut off the extra tabs and use with 4 bolt heads). You are embarking on a fun ride...have fun!
not looking to do E85 as it's not plentiful at my location. Ti trim v3 cam and meth is what I want to roll with

Ti is perfect for 800whp. No need for a YSi if that’s all you want.

You are probably right. I forget about the altitude difference. I am at 5300'. On their site, A&A says, they recommend changing to a YSI at 700 hp and at 800rwhp I figured that it would be good to talk to them about efficiency. In any event, I loved my V2ti with 8rib and secondary drive. It ran flawless and gave me awesome power for an LS2. I am going to the next level with YSI and 2.8 pulley and nos....but of course with it..many other upgrades$...my pocket book is yelling at me right now. Have fun with the V3ti...its a great blower.

It really depends on your goals. I'll warn you now, I won't sugar coat this. If you have visions of spanking all the 1500+ hp GTR's and Lambos, I hope you've got Saudi prince cash like they do because you'll need to build a couple real race cars. BIG turbos, BIG slicks, a powerglide, a 9", and sprinkle a nitrous direct port set up on top. I hate to break the bad news or sound harsh, but these days, 1000 at the wheels gets you a pass to come look like a bit(h when the big HP GTR's roll out. So if your goal is to be the fastest.....yeah....good luck with that. Of course, the people selling the parts would love for you to believe you can get there in steps on a normal middle class income. Yeah, no.

Now back to reality, 600+ at the wheels is a lot of fun on the street and can be done fairly cheap with any of the three power adders. It starts to get exponentially more expensive when you go above that power level and it's VERY tricky to do it with nitrous. You'll need to add turbos or a blower if you're thinking 1000'ish at the wheels.

Why are you not happy with nitrous? Tell us about your current set up? What are your goals?

<600 rwhp or you want to road race = 427+ ci N/A
600-900 rwhp mainly street cruising = PD blower
600-1400 rwhp wanting to win races = centri blower
1400+ = single turbo, yank ac, powerglide, race car, etc

Hate to derail but I gotta ask, how often do you 800+ guys actually use any of this outside of a track? Mine is 399rwhp and traction in first on just about any road is useless and by the time I grab third I'm double the legal limit. I've driven 900rwhp trucks and sliding sideways at 70 in a dually is fun but it's scary as hell. I can't imagine trying to do it with something as light as a vette.

Depends on tires but basically never besides at an actual event. Which is why 500-650 is a great number.

Yep... this^^. I have _so_ much respect for the guys who build crazy HP builds for events (street or track ), but I get to hop in either of my 600+rwhp rides and have no compromises for street duty, AND I can still drive them pretty hard without being scary or dangerous. At my age, if I built something faster, I wouldn't have the skill now (or the time to develop it) to drive it to its limit and get all that power and hard earned $$ to work for me, so it would end up being a dyno queen. 15yrs ago, my little twin T28s in my C5Z was _fast_, hitting 139mph through the traps. Now, like someone above said, I'm not sure I would be a trailer car taking vids for more than 3 seconds at WOT before the 1500hp monsters are gone and out of video range. ;P But that's ok. "There's always someone faster."

I don't street race so I don't use the extra hp on the street...love it on the track though. Fun Stuff! With the technology today my car is still driver friendly on the street .....air conditioned and no overheating. Note to self: I am glad to be installing ProEFI for a lot of reasons but it's advanced traction control system helps with safety.
Unreal is right..the sweet spot for the street is 500-650.

What about a PD supercharger in the 700-800rwhp range? Would a centri be better at this power leverl?
I recently had a ride in a friends C7 Z06 and that thing had power everywhere.

thanks for honesty, every time I say 800rwhp people automatically assume I'm I'm being cheap about not going to the YSI. 800 is the max I think that I can control on the drag strips. I have no intention of building a 1000rwhp car. I still drive my car to work whenever I feel like it. It's not a daily driver but I do drive it. I addition 1000rwhp car on the streets is extremely dangerous when you get into it especially you don't have yourdrag tires. 800 is my numbers.

Default Centri

I recently was debating this myself. Ended up with two ecs kits. One for my vette and one for my father in law. On the Paxton 1500 with meth, cam, full exhaust and a 6 rib mine made 670rwhp and 600 ish torque. Father in law same setup but smaller cam and an 8 rib made 770rwhp. Both cars are very street friendly and the power comes on hard when you want it. Like most others have said it's hard to beat the packaging of a centri on a vette. Both vettes are low mileage(10k miles or so) ls2 engines. The ls3 will get you knocking on the door of 800 at the wheels. ECS tuned both cars for street manners and not all out power. Good luck, it's a fun ride!

how much are you all spending on cooling parts? im trying to hit around 800 on sc just don't know what style of blower I want. im on nitrous and love it. im on the fence about stroker motor and direct port injection nitrous or sc the car. bottle refill is getting annoying but so would slipping belts or heat issues. jus trying to get as much info as I can.

I just spent over $2k ordering a ProSpeed Fan setup and a Dewitt's radiator

A properly set up centri is perfect for a street driven Vette. Tailor the power the way you want.

No headaches that come with nitrous.

No packaging and heat issues that come with turbos in a Vette.

Personally, I am satisfied with the power level in my slightly tweaked Centennial GS. I can't safely use the power it makes on the street. Guess I am getting old.

i just switched from a 200 shot on heads/cam GS.
Ecs Novi 1500 on Ethanol (1050x injectors) and Meth.
Can take out restrictor and get 800’s HP from it. Many have ran the 6rib as well. If you can do the 8 rib right away and not worry about the belt. Can keep restrictor in or shave the opening to adjust boost as well.
