Default How safe is nitrous

Just out of curiosity how or what can go wrong with nitrous this can maybe help others also. And what can we do to reduce those chances.

Mine will be a forged botttom end ls7 with all the goodies at 11:1. I was thinking I値l only be on the Shot when I知 on e85 and my stand-alone has race gas in it.

Whats yhe matinace for you guys? Change spark plugs every 5k miles?

Also so on a forged bottom end I知 not worried about rotating assembly falling apart but. The sleeve at 600-630whp NA how big of a shot would you guys throw. I値l be rarely using nitrous only on some highway runs and drag strip runs no more than 20 pounds a month

Def change spark plugs. Perhaps even every 2K miles. Also, make sure to get the super expensive ones.

I've ran 150-200 on my car for almost 2 years now through a Nitrous Outlet 102 Plate kit with C16 in stand alone. As far as being safe, it's just like any power adder, as long as your tune is good, you should be good if kit is working properly. I ran mine a touch leaner than most would like, so it kept my plugs clean and I stayed on a #7 plug, so that helped also.

As far as what you should throw at it. I would be asking whoever built the motor, ring gap makes a difference if you're wanting to shoot a lot. Then again, I have no first hand experience with the LS7 block, some say 200 max, some spray a lot more.

With that being said, I have a nice kit in classifieds for sale if you are looking to buy. Nitrous Outlet 102 plate kit, Nitrous Outlet stand alone fuel cell, Leash Wiring Board, NOS Mini Progressive Controller.

Imo, proper fuel/spark is a big necessity for safety.

I run a 150 shot on a cam ls3. With a nitrous outlet standalone with c16 and ngk br7ef plugs . With a super conservative tune it made

590rwhp and 660tq.

I have had three bottles through it. The idle is a tad rough with such a cold plug, but smooths out once warm. If your going to run nitrous, don't cut corners.
