Default Detoxx Transformed (ProCharged Atomic Orange Grand Sport Conversion)

Like the title states this is a transformation. There weren’t any Atomic Orange Grand Sports made but with my car originally being a base model LS3 it only seem right that I go with those fenders plus I like the look. I didn’t however want GS badging so I had some custom made to match one I alread had on the rear of the car.

Got the complete front conversion kit from Gene at Cultrag Performance. I purchased the rear kit from him back in 2012 and like at that time he provided grade A service.

I also went with with a carbon front splitter from C7 Carbon with the bumper reinforcement and a set of their carbon side skirts. I already had a carbon ZR1 spoiler from APR Performance on the car.

Oracle LED side markers added a nice touch as well.

Got it a new set of wheels also to complete the look. Went with Forgestar CF10’s in a black graphite finish.

All of this wouldn’t have been completed without the amazing work from K&T Kustoms Kollision in Shelby Township, MI. They installed the kit, the carbon pieces, wheels, side markers, and blended the paint to perfection.

Ok now on to the pictures.

I’m very happy with the results. Now it has the look to go with the 933rwhp ProCharged power. I know some will question why I didn’t originally buy a GS or Z06. Well I didn’t want a GS because of the weight and gearing. Not to mention this color wasn’t available. I also didn’t want a Z06 because I wanted the targa and I had every intention on boosting the car when I bought it. I bought December 2011 and it was boosted February 2012. Stock bottom end LS3 ever since.

Hope you all enjoyed.

Great looking car! You've got the best of it all in this, power, weight, targa and looks.

I always love seeing the progress of your car. The custom fender badges are a great touch to separate this car from the rest. What is the weight savings from a grand sport to a narrow body and what is the difference in gearing of a grand sport to narrow body?
