My supplier for the spacers agreed to do an even swap for correct size. I went with 2" but I can clear the studs with 1.5" and hopefully still clear the turbos. I'd rather not have to get wider fenders again haha. Supposed to have sunny weather the next two days so I'm gonna swap the spacers out and take it around the block a few times to final check for oil leaks and if everything looks good I'm gonna bring it to work Wednesday and install the Mishi radiator and the rest of the exhaust. Today marks 2 months since this build began and only wish I had more free time but I've still got well over two weeks for the clutch install in tune so I wasn't is a terrible hurry anyway.

Im not a fan of spacers at all, does this kit make you use them or do you have something else going on? I know your a base converted to GS, does this kit work with only base models?

The kit is designed for base models with 8" wheels in the front and I have 10" wheels to match the wider front end and it rubs the hot side at full lock. I'm not the biggest fan of spacers either but I don't see another way around it and I'm really not keen on drastically reducing my turning radius on a road course car.

Never would have thought about wheels being to wide and hitting the hotside. My car is also a base with wide body conversion and I’ve been thinking about picking up this kit so good to know.

My UPP fuel system came in today. 400 LPH fuel pump, regulator, fuel pressure gauge, and PTFE fuel lines. I will actually be doing a separate build thread on these after my clutch install and base tune so I have a before/after number.

First trip to the gas station was a success. Oil pressure was normal, coolant temperature, voltage, all gauges are reading optimally. No leaks on the garage floor. It was hard not to put my foot in it. Now that I'm confident I don't have to pull them back off I can install my fenders. Still need to put my axleback on and swap out the radiator, and I've got a week and a half until my tuning appointment.

You're not the first or the fifth to suggest that haha but I'd hate to reduce this thing to a garage queen. I take a lot of pride into putting as many miles on this thing as I can and I'd hate to by shy of overcast weather. I'm actually going to looking into rainguards or hydro socks for the filters and I've got some leftover Frogskinz I can put to good use.

So I discovered while examining my axleback that it's a 3 inch axleback with a 2.5 inch reducer at the connection to the x pipe. I found a Z06 H pipe for sale locally for $100 so I'm going to pick that up and cut the reducers off and I should be back in business with a full 3" exhaust.

Started to put the car back together. Was delighted to find out the OEM fender flares/liner extensions fit over the turbos without any cutting and even clear the wastegates. Might stick with just these for now.

badass build. This is something I would do if I decided to go turbo. I'd have to convert to wet sump first, though.

Why the wet sump? Could you pump the turbo output oil to the dry sump tank?

The dry sump would not allow a fender mounted turbo on the passenger side. Wet sump would be to free up the room taken by the tank.

Somewhat of an update. 3 days until the tune, just wrapping up a few loose ends. Got paranoid about the nipple at the back of the intake so I pulled the whole intake to check for vacuum leaks and cleaned my valley while it was apart. Got my new H pipe and new V band flanges from ebay for $10. Should have fully functional 3 inch exhaust tomorrow. Installed hose clamps on the vacuum lines. Hopefully some dyno numbers next week.
