Prayers to the family. If they continue racing, I hope everyone else stays safe, especially with the condition of that track.

We should know by 5pm central what will happen but I have decided against it as of now . The track has to many dips at the end.

Nola motorsports is a good road course. It does not have the required runoff that I would want for a half mile drag race, where I’d want to be on at least a 1 mile runway. There are bumps on the front straight near the finish line that would make my C6 Z06 bobble at ~145mph, where these cars are going undoubtedly faster and are likely setup much less stable, trading handling for drag racing performance. You’d also need to be under about 55mph to make Turn 5 on cold/drag tires.

this is horrible... I was checking in here to see how well everyone had done, this is not what I expected... I saw the video and from what I can see that track did not look safe at all for this type of event, it's very narrow and not near enough shutdown room

Wonder how the process went to figure out this track was ok to host? It appeared to me to be very narrow for the first quarter mile or so.

i ran shortly before (4-6 cars) him trapped 160 after spinning first 1/8 mile. my car definitely unloaded rear end a bit coming across the bump. i was paying attention to them saying not to brake on the bumps but didn't expect it be that much and unload car as much. the turn is very wide at end and most of these cars could of easily turned it 80mph. i think that should of been mentioned as hey no need to slow down really really quickly as the turn is wide and can be made pretty easily going decent speed.
i looked for most of you guys and try to catch up but with the chaos figured most were scattered around.

do you have links to that stuff?... I'm curious to see it, I don't know why the organizer would have deemed it ok to race on a track with those types of conditions

I just saw a video posted on youtube where they mentioned the bumps in the drivers meeting so they knew about it, it also looked like the track was wet towards the start?... it rained last year in tx and I just left but apparently they ended up racing late in the afternoon, to me it wasn't worth the risk... I hate to be the one to ask but are they going to refund everyone?... I understand if it gets cancelled due to weather but this is a totally different situation, in my opinion it would be the right thing to do
