Default VIS TS Carbon vented hood - twin turbo build

hey guys, doing a TT build and leaning towards this style hood. Does anyone know if that hood offers enough clearance for my intake? It looks like it would work but don't want to make a big mistake, lol. My only concern is the front of the intake which is approx 2" taller than the factory hood. Thanks guys!

Thanks crawler! It's pretty aggressive but will still have the creature comforts. My build thread is on the bullet.....lots of details and pics. Thanks

Insane.

What do you use fuel pump wise on something like this? Has to be an insane amount of fuel

schpenxel, i'm going to use a large cam driven pump with 16 injectors. I'll run E on the street and methanol when i blast it. Turbo's are good for about 3k hp but will be turned way down while on the street. I'll have a another set of rear wheels/tires (15") when i want to play around because the 20's won't hold much power. I also built a little 5.3 LS turbo engine if this BBC proves to be too aggressive while on the street. My build should be wrapped up in the next six months or so. Thanks

Very cool. I'll check out the thread on yellowbullet as well. There are some absolutely insane cars/builds/knowledge on that forum.

Amazing build as always, but to answer the original question, I don't think it will fit under that hood.

Thanks unreal and schpenxel! If the TS won't fit, is there another similar style hood that may work? I know the VFN will fit (i used the sunoco on a C5 build) but i will exhaust my search first. Thanks guys! Tracy

The hood I'm looking at, and may fit is the https://www.sigaladesigns.com/produc...charger-hood-1

99% sure I'm getting that hood, once I get around to ordering it.

Man, that’s just dead fukin sexy. When did that come out? Never even heard of them before. Wish I had found that before I ordered the RK Sport Violator that I have. I’ve always regretted not ordering that in the CF version anyhow, since the guy who painted my hood fucked up the colour and had to repaint it twice and it still looks like ****. Silver is a bitch of a colour to match, apparently.

I’ve just finished combing through your YB build thread. That is one awesome piece of machinery you’re building man. Hell, if it was mine, I wouldn’t even worry about putting a hood on it! No matter what you do, that thing is going to look good from any angle.

Good find Unreal! The carbon fiber looks really nice in the pics. Thanks!

CI GS, thanks for the props! We are both the same color..... the carbon fiber contrast would look great on silver.

The fiberglass one is nice too, and cheaper if you are just going to paint it.
