Default Check gas cap at half tank

I have a strange issue with my blown C6. I recently started driving it again since building the motor and supercharging it. I also installed a ragin racing twin aeromotive 340 fuel system. I'm seeing now that once I get near the halfway fuel mark, I trigger a check gas cap light on the dash. If I fill it up, the light goes away. I've driven as low as 1/4 tank remaining so I don't think there is a problem with the fuel crossover. Has anyone encountered anything like this?

had the same problem, replaced my gas cap with a new one and the problem has gone away. It was coming loose and the gas smell in the garage was strong, after I replaced it all gone.

I replaced mine with a new Stant unit. The problem returned.

As I read your response, I remembered that I deleted the evap canister and forgot to cap the metal end coming from the firewall. I just capped it. Let's see if that makes a difference. Thanks.

After capping it, I got the service fuel system error and the fuel level reads empty. Should I remove the cap, or keep it on and wait for it to clear?
