Default Fuel line placement

I am starting a Fore fuel system install. Where is everyone running the lines? Can I just run them in the tunnel? Also, is everyone removing the OEM lines and evap stuff?

Ok. To you remember which way you clocked the lines on the pump sender and I'm assuming you mounted the regulator in the Fender?

I'm about to do mine also... My fuel tank is all setup, just need to devise a good way to test everything before I bolt it all in since it's a huge paint to get in and out from what I understand. I'm also curious about more details in where the lines run. Through the rocker is where my current secondary fuel system runs so that makes sense. The return I'm less clear on and I planned to mount the regulator in the engine bay after the rails as part of the return loop.

This is where it comes out (and shows the the pipe insulation i used).. Be careful, there are some sharp edges inside the rocker.

I put the Y fitting just behind the accumulator and ran to the back of each rail from there.

How come nobody just keeps everything in the tunnel?

Oil accumulator.. Holds 2 quarts of oil with compressed air pressure behind it. It dumps the extra 2 quarts into the system if the engine oil psi drops. It saves my motor when the chutes are pulled.

Twofold.. Keeps the fuel away from the heat in the tunnel. Also, race rules require the fuel lines to be protected by steel in the plane of the clutch (basically needs to be protected if clutch explodes), having it outside the frame rails meets the rule.

You do have to keep safety in mind in case of a side impact..

Very interesting... I've never heard of such a thing

So realistically I should plan on running both feet and return through the rockers?

Also much easier to access. No dropping of exhaust and tunnel plate. Plenty of room. Tunnel gets busy.

So do both lines just slide through or do you have to take body panels off? Also I would prefer removing the factory lines and plugging off and removing evaporative emissions equipment any thoughts on that or most people leaving it in somehow on a boost application

I'm just wrapping up my install now. None of my lines are secured yet and these pictures dont show the pads I used for vibration protection or my wiring harness following the same path through the rocker but it gives you an idea. I mounted the controller in the front driver fender above the washer tank. If you need more pictures I can take them when I get home.

This stuff helps out a lot, thanks everyone! I have a controller as well but soon after I bought all the fuel system stuff I ended up buying Proefi so that will control the fuel pumps
