That would be fun, but the intercooler takes up 110% of the available space. I just have to figure out which JB Weld product will hold a v-band to cardboard.

What intercooler setup are you going with? Garrett cores or maybe the big 6x6x12 inch CSF cores?

You could always go M1 and fit another 106 in there!

oh and loving the billet merge / flange! That’s got to make things easier!...

It is coming from Chiseled Performance, a modified version of his IC3000. Garrett cores. I had great luck with the last 2000hp front mount he built.

The merge is one of those deals where it is expensive up front, but will save me a bunch of time. With this being a nights and weekends project with spring coming fast, I need all the help I can get!

It is... nice stuff!

I also picked a Maven mount that bolts to the drain flange. I will be fabricating a tube structure to hold everything.

Intercooler is set to arrive Thursday! Now I can really get this thing going.

Some more small projects in the meantime.. Made some more room up front, finalized the 6 rib alternator drive, welded up the egt bungs, mounted up the HO coils and ordered up a new set of Firecore 50 wires.

The mount is by Kfab (Kasper Fabrication).. Originally designed to run off the 4 rib AC belt which worked flawlessly.

When it came time to replace the balancer, I could not get part numbers to run the 4 rib pulley on the back of a plain race balancer.. I couldnt stomach the idea of having the 6 rib balancer with no belt on it

So, I went with the normal 6 rib and spaced the alternator and tensioner. It seems to be rock solid.

It was brought to my attention that the ZR1 uses a 6 rib AC drive, so that may be an option for some. If there was enough interest in this setup, I could send the dimensions to Kfab to possibly put something together without spacers...

No problem!

Forgot, I had to change out the tensioner idler as well due to the belt width.

Thanks for the info. Do they sell the standard a/c location alt mount, still? Looks like their website is under construction and your wording made it seem like it was a one off piece.
