Thanks!.. Its just a basic Mechman 170 amp for the C6. With extra load this year we may change to a higher amperage if needed.

Its been a little while since I have updated. Long story short, we had a part failure in the short block. Both the manufacturer and the machine shop have stepped up and all is being taken care of.

In the meantime, I have found time to clean up and paint the engine bay..

Wired up the new HO coils...

Figured out and installed the rear mount radiator, surge and recovery tanks, and water pump.. (still a little plumbing left to finish)

Fabricated and installed a vented scavenge tank for the turbo and mounted the pump..

Started on the down pipe and cold side.. (the aluminum pipe has fittings from the old setup, blow-off's and sensors will be relocated on new piping)

Insane!

I got my alt relo bracket. It's a quality piece(s). What RPM have you been shifting at? No issues throwing the belt with the auto tensioner?

The 4 rib setup only saw about 7150 rpm, even lower on the shifts. Zero issues other than when the 10 rib broke and wrapped around the 4 rib.

I did order a new Mechman 250A alternator to deal with the additional amp draw. Hopefully that along with the 6 rib will be as reliable as the old setup.

Good to hear. I do plan to spin as high as 8k. Hopefully I won't have issues.

Down pipe in progress. Welding pie cuts is very tedious!

It looks like the VFN hood is finally going on the car.. It clears the new intake pipe, my other hood will not work without more cutting (not to mention the VFN is a bunch lighter)

Downpipe looks amazing. Are you going to use a ring around the bumper exit?

Yes i have a trim ring for the 5" and a 2.5" for the wastegates (merged together). I still have to fab mounts to hold the bumper cover before i lock down the pipes.

I was wondering how you were progressing... Sucks abut the engine delays.
