Best balancer for AA Supercharger on 2012
All,
I am getting ready to install on my 2012 Grand Sport with dry sump the A&A supercharger with the 3.8 pulley. My question is that I need some advice on the best balancer to install. Ill be changing the camshaft so while the balancer is off I wanted to upgrade. I will be having meth on the car so I could possibly go for a little extra boost but not totally necessary. Can anyone advise of the best HB part number / manufacturer to install? I appreciate all the information that people have about this subject. The engine lower is still 100% stock.
Thank you

ATI or IW
You can get both in 6 or 8 rib as well as stock diameter and OD

IW with the oversized “blower” hub. May as well go ahead and get the 8-rib and 10% OD while you’re at it.
And get the IW crank pin kit, they have the neatest crank-balancer pin system out there. BTW: IW balancers come with their own bolt and washer, and if you order the blower hub option, that includes the oversized seal.

The OP asked about the “best balancer”, but Powerbond certainly is by all accounts the best in terms of price for the quality you get. Hell, at $200, I would buy it myself if I had a dry sump car.

someone posted the 8 rib balancer had the wrong spacing. I want to upgrade to 8 rib, without spending a grand or more. I was going to use the powerbond 8 rib, with Dirty dingo accessory pulleys.

Best: A&A's secondary belt drive setup and never worry about belt slip or putting extra strain on your accessory pulleys from the tight belt that drives the supercharger. Comes with a custom IW 8" (10% OD) balancer.
