Got most of the stuff I ordered, in. I pretty much have all the rest of the piping I need to finish making everything. Ordered the drain fittings and stuff.

Dropped the merge off to the welder to weld on the wastegates and the o2 sensor bungs. When I get it back, one last mock up to make the downpipe and the rest of the cold side stuff. Take it back off and send the manifolds to get coated. Once that's back, I will assemble it to wait for the intake manifold and then it's ready to go.

Torn between heat wrap, ceramic coat, or both. I'm thinking; wrap the downpipe and the merge pipe and ceramic coat the manifolds and wastegates/dump tubes.

How much for a duplicate hotside when you get it all ironed out? I need to see how much larger a 91mm FI unit is than the 76 (it may be the same size, which would be awesome). lol

.

Honestly, I don't have much into it. $250 for manifolds, $200 for v-bands and collector, $3-400 for piping and misc stuff.

You can definitely get it closer to the engine, which would open up more space. The compressor cover is an inch from one of the fans. Not a perfect kit by any means, but not too bad for my first try.

Make sure to get a turbo blanket for the compressor side like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Turbo-Blanket-Turbocharger-Thermal-Shield/dp/B07MXH897S/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Turbo+Blanket+T3+%2F+T4+for+Turbocharger+Thermal+Heat+Shield+Cover+Wrap+%28T4%29&qid=1556558257&s=automotive&sr=1-1 https://www.amazon.com/Turbo-Blanket-Turbocharger-Thermal-Shield/dp/B07MXH897S/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Turbo+Blanket+T3+%2F+T4+for+Turbocharger+Thermal+Heat+Shield+Cover+Wrap+%28T4%29&qid=1556558257&s=automotive&sr=1-1

Or ceramic coat the housing..

I'll be ceramic coating the entire hot side, along with the turbine housing.

I had everything ceramic coated, once you do it you'll never go back to wrap. And adding your down pipe is probably only $40-60 more.

I think the downpipe is the only thing I am going to wrap. Plus, a few key areas like where the charge pipe is going to cross over the merge pipes.

Progress progress progress

Got my Fore fuel system in. Gonna try to get the tanks setup tomorrow and hopefully fully plumbed by the weekend.

Decided to try and route the wastegate dumps downward, instead of out the hood. Looks like it will be a straight shot down, which is good.

Looks awesome. Is the downpipe polished stainless? I assume you deleted AC?

Just saw this article/video of a TT LS3 Z06 https://engineswapdepot.com/?p=39859

Looks like the same headers as yours.

That’s pretty wild.

Yours is already running though. Lol. I'm hoping it's only two more weeks. Forecast for rain all this week is going to slow my progress. I only have access to the inside of the shop when it's slow and cars are not coming in and out.

Don't care too much for the wastegate piping being at a 90 off the merge pipes.. Other than that, pretty sick setup.
