100% in to see numbers. I am excited to be able to compare similar builds.

I've been driving the car the last few days. It's starting to get hot here in Texas. Coolant temps are creeping up into the 220-230 range. Not super bad, but higher than I want to see. My hood vents should be here tomorrow. Just ordered an oil cooler kit. I'll likely cut my crash beam to get some more airflow from the front end. Committed to making this car run cool.

Perforate it with something like a 2" hole saw or thereabouts.

Just don't go as crazy as this guy, but you get the idea...

Lmao!! Jokes aside, that’s exactly what I was thinking of doing. Couple strategically placed 2”-3” holes.

I wonder if you put some holes in the crash bar and reinforced them with pipe if you could increase airflow and retain beam strength? Have seen this done on GTRs to get more air to the intercooler.

or have you already cut the beam for the intercooler?..

I have not cut it yet. I should have before I put everything together. Getting mixed opinions about structural integrity after modifying the crash beam. The radiator support and K member are pretty close to the front of the car. Idk, I will likely have it all cut out and have a single bar welded in its place.

So, my drive home last night proved to be good for some preliminary data. Took a little longer route home to see how my coolant temps would act. It took a while longer for the temps to creep up but they plateaued around 217, where before it would have hit 230+. I’d say the vents show a nice improvement. My oil temp was in the 230 degree range, which I’m sure is contributing to the higher coolant temps as well. I have an oil cooler kit coming. Anxious to see if that helps any.

Some 18psi dyno pulls. Shut it down after this as a huge storm was rolling through and I had to get home.
