Look at donnyt torque output: 500+ from 3800 - 6000 rpm. Who said Centri's have no torque?

I was actually worried about the lack of low RPM power too with Centri superchargers making full boost at redline. To my surprise, my recently purchased 707rwhp ECS powered GS makes so much power below 3K rpm's that my Nitto 555's(non DR) are completely worthless in the first 3 gears. I can't even imagine what a PD supercharger would do to traction.

Thank you guys, you are making my job too easy!

Marathon - if you don't mind, what is your boost at max HP? Just curious...
Thanks!

Without meth on both systems, the TVS2300 will make just as much peak Hp and more peak Tq as a centri with equal boost. The difference is that the TVS will make more HP everywhere along the curve except on the top end. And you have full boost after every shift. Yeah, if you want to compare a TVS at 7psi to a centri at 10psi, sure the centri will make more power. Even the boost up and it's a totally different story.

True boost is boost, the heatbeat performs better down low and the centri does better mid range and up. But the heartbeat is air/water and will have more heat soak issues

The Heartbeat actually runs very cool. Both IAT's and ECT's aren't troublesome even on hot days. Some brutally fast cars run air/water heat exchangers. Nothing wrong with that type of system. It just needs to be sized for the job. The good news is that you don't have a huge air/air heat exchanger blocking air flow to the radiator. Mine would idle with the a/c blowing cold in 95 degree TX heat. It rarely got over 200 degrees and cooled down quickly once the Vette got moving.

I actually did three dyno runs in the span of two minutes on mine. That was at 9.5psi. The runs were in the 630 to 640 rwhp range. The last run was about 10 hp lower than the first. You won't find many, if any, supercharger systems that have IAT control that good without meth.

The Heartbeat is a very good system for a mildly boosted (+/- 10psi) street ride. I don't think there's a better one out there. If you want much more than that, absolutely get one of the bigger centri systems, add meth, and enjoy!

I disagree that heartbeat or air/water have more heatsoak issues. They can if they are overstressed, or pushed past their limits, but ran as designs they work excellent and IMO better than air to air.

I guess when keeping the system at a more "normal" boost level and mild mods you are correct. Ive had 2 vehicles with air/water systems and they have their benefits and disadvantages. For me, the type of racing and power i was making, the air/water was always a limiting factor. Air/water is awesome for the track!

While I don't really like restrictor plates, and I don't advertise them, we do have them for those that insist. Like everything else I design, I try to make it the better than anything else on the market. Ours is like a velocity stack, rather than a stamped plate. It has a smooth entry to aleviate air "shear" and is securely fitted in the air inlet duct. There is no way this thing can get dislodged. It is also easily machined in small intervals to tune the airflow.

Allows you to run a smaller pulley to add power down low, while limiting power up top. So basically adds some low/mid range power. For track or peak numbers, should do very little to nothing as you are not in the range it adds power, and peak will still be restricted, but down low it will add power.

Its supposed to be on the dyno soon.

I was just asking if anyone had any ideas of what I could expect for numbers with a cam in the setup.

The curiousity is killing me 🤔

Relax and have a cold one. I'm 100% sure it will put a big grin on your face! If it's a mild cam, figure 450 + 20hp/# of boost. If you're adding meth, pencil in a little more.

nope.

The 662 run the shop had the doors open and the OA was about 12* that day. The 639 number he had shut the doors and the shop temp was about 68*.
He said he saw an average of 640-650.
Very obvious here that boosted cars really LOVE cold, dense air.

The tune is very safe also. Absolutely no knock retard and timing was at 13*.

Im extremely happy!!

A&A certainly makes an AWESOME kit and the blower cam that Andy designed is perfect.

Big shout out to Todd at Doug Rippie Motorsport’s for an awesome install and the guys at A&A!!!
