Thank you sir! hoping to get the coils mounted this weekend along with the new radiator tubes, upper intercooler pipe, and maybe dumps and downpipes done so that I can send everything off to coating at the same time.

Well my intentions for this weekend were solid, however the amount of argon I had was not. Pretty uneventful weekend due to that. Got the upper intercooler pipe built, BOV flange added and welded in a bung for my IAT sensor. After that I measured up my oil feed lines and sent them off to my buddy at FinishlingLines to make me a fancy looking set.

spent the rest of the day yesterday taking the front end back apart and getting the coils mounted and new wires built.

Been quite a while since I have updated this but I've still been working on it as time allows. I ordered a few more pieces for it including the turbo guards and had to wait a while for them to get here but they turned out awesome so I'm happy with them. Spent some time getting both downpipes and dump tubes welded up. Unfortunately the downpipes were a lot more complicated than the dump tubes but oh well. Once these were completed I ran everything over to a local company to ceramic coat all of the hot parts including the exhaust housings on the turbos.

I spent some time revising my rear mount radiator and now that there is nothing under the car as far as a cross over for the turbo goes I went ahead and ran 2 1.25" aluminum tubes down the center of the car to transfer coolant rather than running the coolant hoses through the passenger side rocker. Didn't have any issues with the old routing just thought I would try something else.

Also along the way I worked with a friend of mine that runs a company called Finishing Lines to develop a c6 ABS delete kit. So I have spent some time getting that installed and set up. It turned out really well plus I was able to get rid of that obnoxious ABS block. This made it way easier to create downpipes for the car and after getting the system bled with the pressure bleeder I bought the brakes are absolutely rock solid. Excited to see how they react to adding the booster back into the equation.

Finally I spent last weekend powder coating everything on the cold side along with misc brackets. Wanted to keep it simple and basically made everything matte or wrinkle black. Since the car is red and everything else has been red/black I feel like this works well. I got a call this morning advising that my hot parts were ready so I'll likely spend the rest of the weekend buttoning everything up and getting it to a point of hopefully starting by the end of the weekend.

Very nice! I never knew you could do a wrinkle/textured power coating. I have only noticed the smooth glossy finish powder coating that's on most power coated products.

curious to hear how this sounds. Not psyched how my log manifold/crossover setup sounds like a tractor on deceleration lol

Keep up the good work buddy!

Did you use the VHT wrinkle paint? If so, how did you get it to look so good? hahah. When I tried it came out like poop.

Came out amazing man.

Likely sounds like a tractor as well lol I was going to put some bullet mufflers into the system prior to having it ceramic coated but legitimately forgot I had them and just built it.

Thanks man! It's wrinkle black powder, I've never had luck with the VHT paint either lol.

Finally got the car running this weekend. Picked up all of my parts from the ceramic coating shop on Friday and started putting it together. Got the car up on some new wheel cradles that my dad built for me and started putting the rest of the car back together. I need to box the bumper support in and finish up the radiator lines again and it should be good to drive it some time this week.

Any updates? Found this thread and i've been following closely. Want to do a near exact build on my z06 but i'm curious if you can fit the two turbos while retaining the abs block. I plan to go air to water intercooler on a hi ram so ill have the whole front open for a radiator and hopefully the condenser fits.

what radiator, radiator shroud and fan did you go with? I’m looking to do the same with my setup.
