Stock manifolds are not multipiece, held together with gaskets. They are much much thicker, and have molded in support beams. That being said, stock ones still split at 20+ psi with time and heat cycles.

Seems odd that cars using the correct button head bolts in valley cover and 89 in/lbs of torque on manifold bolts running a lot more boost run for years with no issues?

I think a lot of it is like the head issue, they say no issue, but if they actually leak checked it they would find the main seal is probably acting as a safety device and blown out. I've only seen 1 fast actually tested that wasn't leaking after some mileage.

And sure, some run without issues, some don't. When issues occur they can take the motor out and cause massive issues. There is very little to no power gain, and high risk, and cost, so it is pretty much a lose/lose situation.

Some of the Fast manifolds I've checked were leaking due to improper torque on manifold bolts.Comp says 2 pass's on the bolts but some took as many as 5 or 6 pass's to get up to torque with no thread locker. After all up to torque removed 1 bolt at a time in reverse torque sequence and applied thread locker.Never leaked again
