Just forged pistons? Am I correct in assuming you're still an entirely stock LS7 bottom end aside from that?

Yes, I re-used the stock crank and rods.

Stock sleeves? Replaced the sleeves at all or just new pistons and went?

No concerns over longevity or cylinder pressures at that boost level?

I’ve got a similar build, 10 psi so I guess we shall see...

I mean I think as boosted LS7 guys....there’s always “concerns” lol PatriotSix probably using some solid ORM though 🤣🤣

I'm still using stock sleeves. They're obviosuly a weak point, but in my opinion the pistons are the first weak link in a LS7. I don't do many 1/2 mile or other events where my time under load would leave me that concerned. However, if I did it again, I would re-sleeve the block.

Nice, fairly simple setup. I would love to see what kind of 1/4 mile times it would put down.

Sorry to bring a older thread up but are your heads ported? How much overlap does that cam have? What’s your psi? What do you rev it out too. What rpm does ur power start to fall? Also how long did you run the BAP and meth setup for

Patriot Six will probably be along shortly and answer all
these questions but we have fairly similar builds and I just saw this so figured I’d drop my information for you as well, more intel the better right?

My cam is custom grind blower cam(cam motion 8620 core)
overlap is 8, 11psi I only rev to 7k at the moment but that will change this week hopefully when my shops dyno is back up, looking spin 73/7400 just depends on when power does fall it was still making steam at 7k last week but dyno was just rollers and we just did a simple tune for E50, when it’s up and we go E85R we’ll see how far she wants to eat.

I have AHP street ported heads, chamber softening on exhaust side and all the other good ****. Forged pistons and a complete bottom end refresh like Patriot Six. I’m running 11:22:1 compression to his 10:1 I believe, Racetec pistons Hell Fire rings, SS pins it’s a quality mid range forged piston, there’s some real expensive **** out there though.

I ran a BAP and meth for about 6 months, now I have A&A’s stage I dual pump aux kit....still have the BAP available, still got the meth on the ready.

Sounding like you may have the boosted bug lol...come on over we got free beer and ****.... 🇺🇸

Heads are not ported. I ran a KB BAP for a year with meth until I started blowing the fuse when going into boost. After that, I ran the MSD BAP for three years with meth without any issues. My cam is a mild blower cam, 223/239 116+2, which I believe is -2 overlap. Power curve is visible on the dyno graph in my original post and holds pretty steady to 7k or so. Boost is 13.5 psi.

I do still have it. I’ll ship it to you for $175. Only problem is that I’m out of town for the next two weeks so I won’t be able to send it out right away. PM if you’re interested.

Any info about camshaft spec and head?
I have a 10:1 427 with 8'' lower and 3.8 upper (blower speed : 53 000rpm at 7000rpm) and I only see 10psi, but I have WCCH BR7 head with oversized valve and healty camshaft, but ''loosing'' 5psi with that? Maybe its time to check for leak...
Thanks

Heads are unported stock LS7 heads. Camshaft is 223/239 116+2. Makes 13.5 psi at redline (second run had rev limiter extended).
