Default ECS used Tensioner damaged?

I bought a used ECS 1500 kit. I started going through the parts and noticed the tensioner appears to be damaged. It looks like the casting is broke by the spring. Also, the pulley has a groove in it...

Is this normal or did i get a bad part?
Also, What is the difference in the OD tensioner vs the standard?

Yes the bottom part is broken, and the pulley hit the balancer and messed it up. All of that of that needs to be replaced.

OD tensioner bracket is just a different mounting bracket so when the belt breaks it doesn't slam into the balancer like the one you have did.

I have spares in my garage. If you were local I would say swing by and grab one.
