Drag radials and stock clutch?
I have a 2008 mn6 with Eforce only. At 530-575 rwhp is my stock clutch going to be ok with a set of dr's. Car only has 20k miles on it. I don't do big clutch drops or anything. Wanting to make some 1/8 mile passes in it. Would probably leave at 3,000 rpm then roll into it. Would like to a least be able to hook in 2nd gear.

I’m at 560rwhp on the stock clutch + radials. Countless rolls and digs and so far so good. 60k+ miles. That does not mean yours will be ok. Who knows how the last owner treated it and that eforce will make some torque. I would plan on doing a clutch in the near future and just see how long the stocker lasts.

Do they typically just start slipping? I see yours is a Z, do those come with the same clutch?

I believe they are the same. Yes it could slip on the first pull you do or after you hurt it doing a dig etc. You won’t know until one day it just slips. You can test it by going freeway speeds in 5th or 6th gear and going wot. If the clutch is on its way out will slip doing this test.

The base model and Z06 have different clutches in them. I have a twin disk McLeod RXT on a TT car which is relatively inexpensive but I mostly recommend it because it engages and drives almost identically to stock.

It’s an LS3 so it came with an LS7 clutch from the factory.

With a radial you will be hooking first gear without a doubt. Issue really will be the fact that the clutch will slip or the fluid is going to get hot and just send the pedal to the floor after your first pass.
