[QUOTE=pokerpro;1599597836]I opted to go with these guy's coupled with the Dewitts radiator I do not go over 201 here in FL. Yes it is more expensive than the other guys but it is well worth it IMO.
i wish they would do their sales more frequently, I should have pulled the trigger earlier this year when they had a good discount going ! Now it is so hot out that I don't feel like pulling everything apart on the Z to do a radiator/fan swap

Why would I want to read all the Florida Man stories on the news when I can just look out my front window?

I can believe that, they have a great product and a large demand for it. It is worth the wait though.

Prospeed fans work and are proven in the most extreme environment and setups. Too many people including myself bought the spal dual and noticed a rise in temps.

Prospeed setup is buy once hurt once. I bought spal dual, ran hotter. Lost $300 on them as you are lucky to sell for $200 of that and then spent $800 on 17" fan setup. Prospeed wasn't out at the time 6 years ago otherwise would have went that way.

I ordered the prospeed fans and I’m keeping the stock radiator. ECS setup here too. 🤭

If your spending the money for that huge upgrade in the prospeed fan, you really should couple it with the Dewitts radiator. It really is a home run!

I know it works well, but I have yet to see anyone with these fans on a stock radiator still have heat issue either tho

I get it, I have that set up and live in SW FL and my water temp never went above 201 around town and 190's on the interstate in the dead of summer..... and it's hot and humid here.

Stock radiator is rarely an issue. It is all about airflow at low speeds, not a problem with not enough core capacity.

So I got very busy with work and other things and forgot about this for a week or so. Now of course I'm impatient and want to get my car together this weekend. Prospeed is 5 weeks out and I can't get a delivery from DeWitts by the weekend, so I went and ordered the same SPAL fans that DeWitts uses from Summit ($265) and a pair of 40A solid state relays for $13.99 from the great online bookstore. I have a background in machining and fabrication but no longer access to any proper machinery so we'll see what I can rig up with hand tools. I plan to make brackets for the fans and build my own PWM controller hoping this will prevent any possibility of voltage drop across the stock unit. If need be I can try pushing the fans to 17-18V with a Boost-A-Pump I have laying around.

If you're reading this Prospeed, I believe you have a great product and would have been giving you my credit card info this afternoon if your deliveries were more reasonable, even 1-2 weeks. I'm told that 5 weeks is "normal" for summer months, so why not increase your materials order quantities during peak season? Or is it just supply chain bottlenecks?

I would like to make my zo6 cooling system absolutely bullet proof. im running an E force, on hot days i see 240 degrees in slower traffic w a/c on. I have the casper fan switch and my connector is fine. i dont mind spending the money for a Dewitts radiator and the pro speed fan set up, but you say i should be fine w just the fan set up? Or should i just do both. If adding the Dewitts radiator helps even 5-10 degrees lower temp ill do it. Thank you Unreal for your real world experience that you always share.

Radiator makes a nice difference moving, not much and argueable hurts at idle/slow speeds being thicker and harder to draw air through. The fans fit either, so my advice would be start with the fans, see what it does, and then work on other stuff after that.

Dewitts is nice for the metal endtanks/etc, but if you are overheating at idle, it would be the last thing to do IMO. I would add an oil cooler with fan next after the prospeeds if that doesn't work.

You dont need to spend a ton of money to make it reliable. I agree though, its more than just a blower if you wanna make big power. 600 aint **** for a stock centri like set up. Unless youre racing everyweekend

I added the Dewitts cut down radiator and Dewitts Spal fans. My c5z makes over 800 and is black. I was out beating on it on a 90 degree day and the never got hot. Hit 200 but I have a 160 stat. Set up works great. Thats with an A&A kit. It might function differently with a ECS, procharger etc due to radiator or intercooler placement.
