Default 15s or 17s for c6 1100 rwhp auto

Hi I have 05 c6 402 e 85 wsi billet finish line trans 3600 presision stall 315 rg the car used to hook up on nitto o5 pretty good at 850 rwhp now with new trans and converter it's like I'm driving in the rain .I have so much money in it the 15 inch conversion doesn't seem that bad but I was at the air strip attack this weekend and talked to a guy that was runing 17s on c5 mts 6 spd manual and was runing 9.60 quarter mile which I would ecstatic to run. Yes I live in colorado springs 1100 rwhp is corrected so probably have true 850 rwhp thanks looking to hook this thing up what ever it takes

suspension and surface are big contributing factors to how well a car can hook. Drag suspension, anti roll bar etc will make the car plant the tire etc.

Ive seen high horsepower C6 work on both 15s and 17s. I would personally go with 15s because tires are a little bit cheaper and there's way more options from tire companies for radials, bias ply, compound, etc compared to a 17 inch wheel.

try a different tire before dabbling into wheels and spindles, try the Mickey ET Street R, 305/45/17 is getting IRS cars into the 7s

315/35/17 Hoosiers work well with my setup although I'm not making extreme power.
