Whats is gonna take to put me in the 9s
I have a 08 ls3 car.. has a slp blackwing cold air, yank 3500 stall, muffler delete and a tune as of right now. Definitely adding long tubes next. But I'm tore between a btr stage 3 cam with corresponding upgrades. Or a&a supercharger kit.

Cam only isn't going to put you into the 9's unless you spray on top. The receipe for 9's is an auto with a stall, headers, cam, blower and meth or E85 or both and good tire. Any of the centrifugal kits would be a good choice.

With some milled heads and Great air like southeast in the fall or early spring type of air, you can run 9s with a heads cam car. I went 10.2@134 with a heads cam car on 93 octane and 10.9:1CR. The car is also a fully optioned 4lt with a 10" sub and amp. I had 2 different yanks and they both seemed to be subpar. I think my best 60ft on a yank PAS3400 was a 1.6, I went to a circle d 258mm pro series and did low 1.4 60s.
But that being said 9s na or low 10s is a lot of work. I have a blower ls3 car (stock everything heads, cam, SBE) just tossed a blower on, headers, and fuel system and that car makes 800whp+ and it runs faster than my heads cam ls3 car for less money spent. NA is doable, it won't be easy or cheap, a blower is easier and cheaper to click off a 9.
My blower car is a chevy ss (still Ls3/6l80) just a lot heavier than a C6. The ss at the track with me in it is 4350lbs. I went 9.6@140 in my c6 with about 150whp less than the SS makes.
I went 10.98@127 with a yank converter 1.63 60ft (-600 DA)
Changed Cams, Changed converters, went to a thinner head gaskets
10.5@130 (DA from -75 to +50)
write up about my 10.5s
played with the converter tables and next time out
10.2@134/135 with a circle d 1.42 60ft (-1200 DA)
write up about my 10.2
Now my car has an 11.4:1 416 and runs 9s NA. I'm fairly certain an SBE with 12.5:1+ on e85 will run 9s at sea level as long as it has the right converter setup.
A cam only 5gen has gone low 10s
NA SBE 5gen has also gone 8s now.
Here's a low 9-second NA 5gen
