Will Z06 brake upgrade fit my current wheel offset?
Need to know if the Corvette Brake Package C6/Z06 Upgrade for my C6coupe will fit the offset I now have.
Brake kit I am interested in found here.
http://www.westcoastcorvette.com/p-9...for-c5-c6.aspx
The car came with the stock wheels (18x8.8 front & 19x10 rear) I am not sure what the stock offset was, but I guess the offset that matters now are for the new wheels I now have.
I purchased the black powder coated z06 replicas in 2008 with the following specs below
front 18x8.5 (+56 offset)
rears 19x10 (+79 offset)
Any help???

Before you decide to "upgrade", check the link on this thread, post #31.

Hmmm...seem to be mixed reviews. I know 2 folks here in SA that have done this upgrade with no problem...

Yes they should fit.
Read this thread about the brake upgrades:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...distances.html
You probably won't lower your braking distance by going to the Z06 BBK, but they do look a lot better than stock. That said, I am waiting to get my Z06 BBK installed.

Hmm..just spoke with WCC about my offset and they said they wouldn't fit. Not sure I believe them since I haven't had good experiences with them in the past.

Z06 stock offset for 18x9.5 s fronts is (+40) so you need 16mm or close to 3/4 inch. too much for a spacer and the wheels would stick out.
You gotta go front wide body for a Z06 stock wheel to fit or get a different set of wheels. the Ace Slicks sorta look like the Z06 replicas and have a 40 offset for the front.
My predicament exactly too. I am going wide body and getting different wheels.
You might be able to fit the Wildwood BBK I dont know.

I know you don't want to hear this, but your wheels aren't going to accomodate the Z06 brakes. You can change your wheels or live with the brakes you have. I have a set of CCW wheels arriving tomorrow that will fit huge brakes. PM me if you want some advice.

drivinfast mentions the Ace Slick wheels up above. I have these on my 07 C6 with the Z06 brakes. The front wheel offset is not 40mm.
From the casting inside the wheels:
Front 18x9.5 53mm offset
Rear 19x11 73mm offset
View from rear with the Ace Slick wheels and stock C6 rubber

Okay, so I really want that slotted/drilled look with red calipers, just like the z, so what's a good choice?
Should I upgrade to an aftermarket set e.g. Brembro, Wilwood, Stoptech, etc?

Peter pan also has the Ace Slick wheels with C6Z06 brakes. They fit with no problems.

Thanks but the z06 doesn't fit my wheels. What other performance brake pacakage do you have that may fit a stock c6 coupe?

How are you sure a spacer won't work?
