These will fit all C6's 2005-2008 A4, A6 and M6 coupes and verts.

They already have been fitted with the 2.5 inch over axle pipes needed to use on a C6.

These will be a direct bolt in with no mods needed.

Why are these such a great deal? Zo6 npps are selling for $350 everywhere, and all you hve to do is cut and weld your factory over axle pipes on? Any muffler shop could do that for you for a lot less then $550?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The NPPs are louder. The Z06 bi-mode exhaust is quite a bit more subtle, even quiet by some accounts.

So if the z06 bi-modes which look the exact same by the way, are quieter then the base npp's that come on 2008 cars, then what does that mean for the zr1 bi-modes, i would think there the same thing as the z06, evidently they come with 3" pipe as these had to be converted, the base 2008 npp's that everyone raves about come 2.5" correct?

Just trying to get my facts straight, I've been looking at going with the npp's for sometime now.

98blackonblack- External looks can be deceiving, just because they look the same on the outside doesn't mean they are the same. Never assume

The ZR1 NPP are internally the same as base NPP mufflers, and have the same perforated tips. The difference is that the ZR1 comes with the 3" over the axle pipes. The ones that I'm selling are ZR1 cans, same as base NPP, but the 3" over the axle pipes were replaced with my base 2.5" pipes. I hope this clears things up for you.

So these are Z06 ones but with the different axles overs to fit a non-z06?

RyanC6- Please read previous post. These are NOT Z06 cans, they are ZR1, which are the same as BASE NPP cans. They have 2.5" pipes and will fit ALL C6 2005-2008 models.

Ok cool, I didnt know any of the NPP's were any different from each other. Only question would be the welds and if they fit right since they were choped and modded.

I didn't assume anything, simply stating the zo6 bi-modes, look exactly the same as the npps, I now know that the z06 cans are not as loud as the base npps.

My concern is your saying the ZR1 which is more advanced then the Z06, uses a base c6 exhaust vs z06 exhaust. It troubles me to think that GM made a base 2.5" npp exhaust, a 3" z06 bi mode, and a 3" npp exhaust, if thats the case why not put 3" npp on the z06 if its a better exhaust. Just doesn't make sense to me, like i said I'm seeking information, because i can't see spending $550 more on a z06 exhaust i can get off ebay for $350

Also according to your profile you mods are:

Mods
Lowered on stock bolts, K&N CAI. 2008 OEM chrome split spoke wheels. Z06 exhaust manifolds, Z06 cats, ZR1 NPP mufflers and remote kit, Ron Fellows rear spoiler, powder coated calipers (vette pilot), Z51 rotors, interior insulation kit (Madvettes) CF console, dash, gauge surround

Why would you run Z06 exhaust, to a modified 2.5" exhaust?

If you look closer at NPP vs Z06, you will notice that the NPP have perforated tips and the Z06 doesn't. ALL of the mufflers are necked down to 2.5" at the muffler intake (ZR1, Z06, BASE) This particular subject has been discussed on the forum allot. Do some searches.

The difference is the internal pipes being perforated (Z06) and non-perforated (BASE and ZR1). If you have the means/ability to modify the Z06 cans, then by all means save yourself some $$. Some people don't want to hassle with it and just want a bolt in project. I hope this sheds more light on the subject for you.
