Default New Product! C6 GM Replacement Pre-Painted A-Pillars + Posts! All Colors available!

C6 Corvette Pre-Painted Replacement A-Pillars

If you want the complete body color look then these pieces are perfect for you. These are real GM a-pillars, we take them, remove the weatherstrip, sand down the plastic, prep, primer, base coat and clear coat. Once they are dry and ready to ship, we re-install the weatherstrip. We paint each set in a climate controlled paint room with dust eliminating fans, resulting in perfect body matching trim pieces.

These require the removal of your OEM a-pillars. To remove your OEM pieces you will need to remove seven bolts. Simply re-install these bolts into your new a-pillars.

Please allow 5-10 business days from order to ship date as these are custom painted to order.

Available here: http://rpidesigns.com/shop/item.aspx?itemid=1847

So, you are going to include the weather stripping tracks already riveted on then?

Do these come with step by step instructions on how to replace the original ones with these newly painted ones?

Also, how difficult is it? Does it require pulling out some weather stripping (to get to the bolts) and then replacing it?

Thanks

It does not. We haven't installed them yet. We are trying to pinpoint directions for you. Yes, you need to remove the weather stripping and drill out rivets.

How come when I bought mine from your company (in June), mine DID NOT come with the weather strip tracks pop riveted to the painted A pillars?

This has become a big PIA because I was expecting them to be ready to bolt right on per your post. If I had know that was not the case, I would not have ordered them from you.

havn't dealt with RPI on this but I know on the others they don't, You'll need to drill out the rivets on your old set and reuse them. They should bolt right in and the weather stripping should pop right back in the tract with a little umm help , Pretty simple job and not many folks have these so they pop and look really good over the factory black plastic that always goes milky looking after a short time.

Guess this answers my question... From post #1 and site...

" These full a-pillars - we take them, remove the weatherstrip, sand down the plastic, prep, primer, base coat and clear coat. Once they are*dry and ready to ship, we re-install the weatherstrip."

Says nothing about cores so I'm inclined to believe that have oem stock.

So I ordered a pair, black, post pics when installed for all

Thanks, but this is still confusing... the site says "we take them, remove the weatherstrip" & "we re-install the weatherstrip."

I dont know what comes with new oem A pillars but the post reads as though they come with new weatherstripping....

Why do I need my old ones? My olds are crap! Thats why Im buying yours

Here is a pic of the parts concerning the A Pillar...

Now #3 is really expensive and wouldnt think your price includes this piece of weatherstripping, but as for the other piece #5 can you advise (I dont know what your cost is in bulk so Im not assuming to just do the math)?

However, after looking at my car there is a piece (opposite side of #5) missing from this pic/link. So can you clarify post #13 and mine please?
