yes this is a true plug and play there is no splicing of any wires for this
You have an ipod cable thats about 6 feet long or so and you can run it to anywhere you would like it. The you simply plug it into the ipod
steering wheel controls do not matter.
You cars radio has the band or xm option on it. This will work. Worst case you have to have the dealer activate this protion of the radio if they did not do this on initial setup of the car.

If the dealer never activated the feature on the car it will not read the ipod kit.
You also might have to reset the ipod as well.

I had one person have a similar issue and he called Pac Audio tech support
they told him to do something and it worked. He called and told me it was working great

so maybe this might be an option

its rather simple to do
There is a video on youtube somewhere I will see if i can find it. Its hows steps on how to remove.

Its not very hard maybe an hour tops.
Did you ever find the installation video for the Corvette? I checked tube and their web site and did not see anything specific to a 'Vette. The ones I did see, Cad' Escalade, required removing the radio. Is this the same on the Vette?
