Default Finally!!! Front parking sensor system for your vette!!

Ever get tired of scraping the bumper up on normal height curbs?
FRONT mount HIGH quality system that is very easy to install. Advent PSD100. It stays on while the car is running. The waterproof sensors mount in the black chin spoiler beneath your bumper. They flush mount in, and are near invisible. A small quarter sized speaker (with an led) mounts in the car and tells you how close you are to the object in front of you (CURB). I am selling the car, so no longer need this. First $100 gets this sytem. The back up sensors (PSD200) are a $30.00 value and are included.
I spent weeks to find these and went through 4 systems before I found
a major manufacturer that makes these (Advent) Most on the market are rear mount only, and of poor quality. I am selling this with four sensors(system comes with 2), so two xtra sensors included. System is brand new and has never been installed. Still in box with all instructions. Has a rubber mute button you can mount as well. Works great in the drive thru car wash to silence the speaker!

•2 sensors detect obstacles over 6 feet away from the bumper
•System can be installed as a front or rear sensor system
•Learning capability
•Waterproof connectors allow replacement of individual sensors at the bumper
•System is upgradable to a 4 sensor system using PSD200/PSD200C 2 sensor add-on kits
•Warning buzzer mute feature shuts off warning tones
•Both the sensitivity and the detection range are independently adjustable
•Includes 0 degree and 8 degree angle sensor sleeves to fit most bumpers if required
•Sensors can be flush installed without the sleeves for a more OEM look
•Sleeves not required in 80 percent of installations
•Adjustable buzzer volume and tricolor LED warning module helps with object range notification
•The front sensor system has a reduced range
•Uses active learning to detect only obstacles which are getting closer to the vehicle
•The front sensor requires only accessory power to operate
•Black sensors can be painted to match vehicle color

Heres a video of how it works!

What if your Vette is lowered and has a Sic Z bumper? Im inches from the surface, will this pick up the road being that close? Were you able to find any installed pics?

the sensors mount in flush into either the bumper or the lower shield mounted below the bumper. You can install two three or four sensors, which flush mount into any flat surface. The sensors are black, but can be painted any color. The sensors are about the size of a quarter. This system will not pick up stationary items on car which are in front of your sensors.

Heres a video of how it works!

These are $110 on ebay plus $30.00 for the extra 2 sensors I am including.

The manual on this indicates they should be mounted at least 18 inches above the ground. And the front spoiler on a newer Z06 and Grand Sport are a lot lower than that. Even std. vette's or even C5's, the air dam spoiler are lower. So how will this work out, from you comment "The waterproof sensors mount in the black chin spoiler beneath your bumper."?

The manual says 18 inches, so as not to pick up speed bumps, etc.

My friend has the same exact unit installed in his chin spoiler on his z06. It makes a blip noise as he goes over speed bumps. Small price to pay to keep his chin spoiler and frame in perfect order. This system works and works well.

Default Do you have any experience with this system?

Last year (September 11, 2010), you posted about this system in another thread on the Forum... saying that you had to replace your air dam and that this system was going to be just the thing to eliminate similar damage.

So, did you actually install one of these on your car? If so, what were your results? Any photos of it installed? If you didn't install, why not?

Thanks,

Rb

Hello,
Never installed it, as i sold the car. My post has a video of one installed in an SUV, Same principle, just a different vehicle.
We installed the same setup in my friends Z06. The sensors are small. If you can imagine two to four (up to you) small circles in your chin spoiler you can imagine what they look like. They are the same sensors in the video. The sensors are black. They are paintable.
