I'm looking at ordering the Race version. Do you have them in stock? If not, then how long will it take to get one?

Thanks!

Race versions were all sent back in to quality control testing by Escort. Right now nobody has them in stock. Give us a call and we can figure out a timeline for you if you want to order.

Thanks,
Matt

Do these special editions light up on the sides like this all the time, or can that be turned off? Do they have any other features besides the special color?

Just ordered. Since the Race editions are having problems, I just ordered the regular. If you have the red display, I would prefer that. If not, no big deal. Can't wait to try it out.

Did my install last night. The mechanical part went pretty easily. Just takes some time to get the alignment the way you want....no biggie. The problem I had was with the MirrorTap cable. I guess I thought that since I was ordering a C6 package, the instructions would specifically refer to the C6 not a generic auto dimming mirror. They basically asked you to determine the +12v and ground using a volt meter. It turns out that the 3rd pic on the page shows the correct wiring if you make that assumption after being told you need to figure out the proper wiring with a meter. I went online and found http://www.blendmount.com/installdoc...20CORVETTE.pdf which takes the same picture and specifically labels the +12v and ground. Once I had confidence I was using the correct wires, everything wrapped up well. So no real complaint here, it's a good product. Just don't be thrown off by the generic MirrorTap instructions.

I doubt anything could get more "snug" than this...you can see some more pictures here:

Yeah, those dinky little Escort suction cups just don't do the job! They need to package a much stronger one with the units. If you're looking for a higher quality installation, this mount is ideal! It's a solid metal piece, so not even all of that American V8 torque can knock it down
If you need information, have any further questions about it, or want to order over the phone please feel free to call us at (770)919-1433 and we'll be happy to help you out!

Thanks,
Matt

In your bundle, does it support Escort Live? In looking at the Escort website it seems a special cable is needed and the BlendMount Mirror Tap is not the right cable.

I want to purchase the BlendMount, but confused about the MirrorTap power cord. What is it for and do you actually need it?
