Default 102mm Throttle Body w/ LS2 Drive By Wire Motor

SOLD

Barely Used $800 shipped (LS2 DBW motor included)

http://www.tpis.com/pages/8_10_11

TPiS has built the first functioning LS2 style 102mm throttle body. This throttle body takes care of the issues many are having with a retro-fit LS3 body on an LS2 car. It uses all the factory LS2 electronics and motor and the blade rotates the correct way. This throttle body is produced in house using the same high standards as all our other bodies, starting with 6061 billet and anodized "Plutonium Grey" and using precision ground shafts rotating on hardened needle bearings for long life and accurate positioning. The 102mm bore allows for an incredible 1800cfm of air flow. Great for big N/A engines but a must for Magnuson supercharged engines.

Did you have a question or was that just a random statement?

That text was copied from the TPiS site. The "problem" has to do with the LS3 DBW motor being weak and the throttle blade not staying open under boosted applications.

Isn't this bad information? LS3 (gold blade) TB's aren't compatible with the LS2.

I've installed a few of them... so its not bad information. if people can't do it, then that is another story... sorry carlos,

I just don't want to spread bad info that was the reason for my statement and it got you a free bump....

anyways... that part in boosted applications you are probably right, although i have not experienced this problem myself, i've heard it happen.
