Default F/S:Hoosier 315 35 17 DR's on 17" C5Z Speedlines

I am selling my drag racing wheels/tires. They are GM OEM Speedline C5Z front wheels in excellent condition. They have Hoosier 315 35 17 Drag Radials. These tires alone cost $450+shipping+mounting new. They still have the spikey things on them.

I have cut a best of 1.56 60' on this set up in a stock C6Z06.
I am selling because I sold my car and got a 2011 Carbon Edition Z06 and they do not fit over the big brakes the car comes with.

$650 +shipping. S O L D!!!
PM or emails please!

Ron

How wide are these wheels? They clear stock C6Z brakes? I have an 07 Z06.

9.5" I believe.
Yes they clear C6Z brakes. As I mentioned in the ad I used them on my 09Z.

I think they should fit any C6, especially a wide body, but maybe ask a shop to be 100% sure.

A question for you please
What is the difference in speed and time using a 17" DRs vs 19" DRs
I have 19s and have not been able to pull less than high 1.8s 60'
Wondering if the top end increases speed as well.
Ia
Am asking because it looks like you spend some time on the DRAGSTRIP .
Thanks

I don't think there is an exact formula for this. Too many variables, such as car, track prep, driver skill, weather conditions, etc.
However, the smaller tire kind of makes the 3.42's go up in ratio some to like a 3.50 or such. Perhaps more knowledgeable people can chime in better on that. The "improved gearing" will get the car off the line easier. Also the smaller tire should have a little more give for a better wrinkle.

Having said that, I got a 1.68 on the stock 19" street tires.

It's all about practice and getting into the throttle quicker on DR's.

I put out the question to member Ls1Lt1 (Marc).
He's pretty knowledgeable....I will let you know what he says.
I also added 3 inside of the wheels pics.

Yes, they do.

While I wouldn't recommend actually driving to the track with them mounted (as you'd likely rub going over a pothole) they're totally fine at the track.

Thanks for that info!
I asked and they'll fit. he said they just may stick out a little. If you are going to use them for racing, it doesn't matter what they look like.
If your car is lowered it may rub as subfloor stated above over bigger bumps/dips if you drove around on them.
You could always raise the car up 1/2"...
