Someone got one heck of a deal. For that price, I would have driven to Florida and hauled it back here.

If you decide to sell anything in the future PM me. Don't post it in the Forum just PM me directly!
All kidding aside, mission accomplished! Is it out of the garage yet!

I'm in a position where getting top dollar for something I got use out of for three years was just not important to me. For the reasons I described in my 1st post I did not need it anymore and wanted to see it go to a fellow Vette enthusiast that would appreciate it and I gave him a really good deal.
In the end, he is doing me a favor by taking it off my hands because I do not need it at my new house and I did not want to leave it at a place that is going to be a rental property.
I appreciate all the interest, my wife about fell out when I told her I sold it and had a deposit in my hand for it within an hour of posting the ad.

OK, I'll keep you in mind.. We signed a contract and I have his deposit and he will return in a couple weeks to take it home. Disassembling and moving a piece of equipment that big and heavy takes some planning on the buyers part.

Heck of a deal for someone local but for someone to drive 15 hours one way to to buy it is insane! Isn't a lift like this only $1500? If so I wouldn't spend 30+ hours of my time and $300 in gas! Am I missing something?

No problem bud! Obviously a local deal is ideal and makes it much easier. I prob would have done the same thing to be honest. Sure would be nice to have but i'm sure ill get my hands on one a little later. Lol

Agree. But, I'd bet the fuel would be much more than that. Probably a 2000 mile round trip dragging a trailer. Maybe a hotel room involved and a bunch of junk food on the road. It would add up pretty quick.

You guys sound scared to make a road trip out of the deal. I've done it before and its usually a lot of fun and a good opportunity to see some cool stuff on the way.

You're correct about a road trip being a blast (depending on company kept). I've driven to Orlando a couple of times. It's a LONG freakin' way. When you just get into Florida, you're about half way!

I bought the same lift used for $1400. One year old. Two man job to move. We dropped the deck on a trailer. The took off the legs and cross beams. Real easy.
