So I purchased carbon front and rear fenders.
The products them selfs are not good imo.
a regular vette owner that’s ocd about their car would be completely upset about them.
My vette is more of a drag build and I focus mainly on that however even I’m not liking the end results.
ill be eventually buying oem fronts/rears soon.
Also yes I know aftermarket carbon/fiberglass isn’t always a perfect fit
however the mold of these fenders are terrible allowing multiple fitment issues
and the panels have major waves.
we had to have multiple fenders ship to my house and returned because they kept showing up
broken either from their warehouse or in shipping so when they arrived they showed up cracked etc.
The front fenders I’ve had to go through multiple sets..
Then the pair that finally showed up not broken/looked “fine” ended up not working.
The driver mold was so far off it wouldn’t bolt onto the car with out possibly cracking in half.
driver fender was the worst of all 4.
Front passenger looked okay but once bolted to the car around the headlight was a major issue.
also where it met the bumper the mold was far off there too.
The fender also hits the door.
the rear fenders left huge gaps with the hatch and actually hit the hatch from closing towards the rear.
also the rear side markers mold was too small and wouldn’t allow the lights to sit flush
either cut the fender or cut the lights. So if you wanted to keep the carbon exposed doing body work on the fender will ruin the finish. I picked cutting the side markers.
Multiple gapping issues with the rears fenders with the rear bumper.
All four fenders have major wave issues.
One reason I ended up buying carbon was
they was suppose to need less work and have less waves
vs the Fiberglass versions.
Now Pete’s customer service was good, he replied to me from email and text.
even on the weekend and odd hours of the day/night.
So I appreciate that. I’d do business with him again on other products he sells
just not these fenders ever again.
The carbon went on back order
so he even sent me fiberglass fenders out however the fiberglass showed up broken.
He tried everything he could by sending multiple sets to me and didn’t even argue
about the refund for the front fenders said it’ll take a few days for a refund last Monday.
Took a week because I open a PayPal dispute on it today so today he refunded the money.
He even told me he won’t be selling these anymore
since they can’t get the production correct and had multiple complaints.
I just wanted to share my experience with these fenders/product
