Core charge on new parts?
I looking at buying a set of new LS heads for a project. The dealer said that there was a $75 core charge, each. I said that I wanted new heads, and he said, yes there is a core charge on new heads. I checked a couple forum vendor site inline, and they showed a core charge as well.
Does and on understand this? I get it if I was buying rebuilt heads, but these are new heads......

did you ask them why? IMO that would be the best source for the answer

Perhaps they turn around and either refurbish the old heads and sell them or sell the used heads to another vendor that does the refurbishing. Just a guess but the best source for an answer would be the vendor.

Not sure where you were looking or what you were looking for, but I just did a lot of research on GMPP LS3 heads and no one asked for a core or core charge. Jegs, Summitt, Chevrolet Performance,,,,, no core charge.
