Default Feeler: Halltech GT2 Dred Hood

This is a feeler to see if anyone wants to buy my Halltech GT2 hood. All carbon fiber and weighs just a little over 13lbs. It is painted Victory Red with black vinyl in the middle that is covering up the Jake logo. I prefer local pickup because packing and shipping may be $$$ unless you are willing to pay for it. This hood goes for $3,370 shipped from Halltech plus the Victory Red paint and black vinyl in the middle. To duplicate this with paint and the vinyl you are looking at $4,300+. Since this hood doesn't accept the stock bolts to attach it to the car, it includes the brackets Louis at LG made for me and the bolts. I would consider selling it straight or trading it for a stock Victory Red hood. There is nothing wrong it. The first 2 pics are of it on my car with the black vinyl. The rest of the pics are from the previous owner that used it with the carbon Jake logo showing by painting the Victory Red around the carbon fiber hood. If you like that look you can peel the black vinyl off and it will be there. Only reason for selling is to put more money towards my TT build that keeps growing.

Prices don't include shipping

$3,250 outright

$3,000 plus give me your stock Victory Red hood

On my car

On previous owner car

What does the underneath of the hood look like? Still the exposed black carbon fiber?

Ttt

stock hood weighs 26lbs so this hood is half the weight. also it extracts heat so your engine temps will be lower.

If I'm not mistaken, isn't that hood new $3300. You're the second owner and want $3250?

Per my original post I said it is around $3400 new shipped bare carbon fiber. With Victory Red paint and vinyl it will be about $4300. This is more geared towards an owner with a Vicitory Red C6 because it will save them about $1,100.

Well I am thinking about it. Shipping would be a pain to NC though. I may be going to the Tyler/Longview area of TX sometime this year but it will be a while.

I would think it would be close. I ordered a spoiler for our daughter giving them the paint code to match. I couldn't tell any difference when it was installed.

Very interested as per our PMs. Just a couple of questions, why would the hood need aftermarket hinges, I thought it would bolt onto OEM hinges/bolt locations.

Also, I don't have the PMs anymore but are you the 3rd or 2nd owner? I can't recall.

all i can say is i bought it from a local guy off his victory red z06 and when we put it on mine it looked fine. if it didn't i wouldn't have bought it.

if i shipped it, i would ship through LG since they would have stuff to package the hood. PM an address and your offer and maybe we can talk.

i'm the 3rd owner. you don't need aftermarket hinges. you use the factory ones on the car. i worded it wrong in my description. the hood doesn't accept stock bolts so i will give you the bolts i used for the hood. Louis at LG also made a nice simple washer/plate for when then bolts bolt to the hood through factory bracket. he didn't want to use some small washers that may slip through the factory bracket so he made something better.
