The OEM rubber bushings on the C5 and C6 Corvette manual shifter boxes often fail after only a few thousand miles due to heat and vibration. The symptom is excessive or sloppy shift lever movement and difficulty in shifting, missed shifts and excessive vibration or "rattling" of the shift ****. Rubber bushings are not available from the manufacturer without buying the whole assembly. We fixed that!!
Our replacement bushings are designed slightly larger than stock so they compress more when installed. This helps to deliver a firmer and more positive feel but still do a great job of eliminating shifter vibration and rattling.
