FS: Halltech GT2 Dred Hood
Back up for sale. Bought a Centennial Edition Grand Sport and parting out old car so I no longer need this hood.
Selling my Halltech GT2 hood. All carbon fiber and weighs just a little over 13lbs (stock is 26lbs+) and has the heat extractor. It is painted Victory Red with black vinyl in the middle that is covering up the Jake logo. I prefer local pickup because packing and shipping may be $$$ unless you are willing to pay for it. This hood goes for $3,575 (Hood $3,300, Packaging $75, Shipping $200) from Halltech plus the Victory Red paint and black vinyl in the middle. To duplicate this with paint and the vinyl you are looking at $4,500+. Since this hood doesn't accept the stock bolts to attach it to the car, it includes the brackets Louis at LG made for me and bolts to attach it to your stock hinges. There is nothing wrong it. The first 2 pics are of it on my car with the black vinyl. The rest of the pics are from the previous owner that used it with the carbon Jake logo showing by painting the Victory Red around the carbon fiber hood. If you like that look you can peel the black vinyl off and it will be there.
Prices doesn't include shipping. Prefer local pickup. Willing to ship if buyer pays for it. I'm in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Asking $2,600 firm Lowered price in post #15
Sold sold sold!!!
On my car
First pic I was at a dyno day and forgot to close my hood all the way. That's why one corner is higher.
On previous owner car

I was interested before and still am. How does the color match up with the fenders? Is the jake the carbon fiber left exposed or is it painted? Also have you had the vinyl removed to make sure it doesn't cause problems removing it? Will it close completely by dropping from 4 or 5 inches like the factory? Really the only problem I have other than those questions is the shipping. Would really be bad if it was damaged during transit. I am going to the Tyler/Longview area again but it will be sometime next year. Wouldn't expect you to hold it that long.

color matches great.
the jake carbon fiber is exposed carbon fiber from the actual hood itself. the hood is all real carbon so when you get it from halltech it is all exposed carbon top and bottom. at that point you can paint it or do whatever. the previous owner had the painter tape off the jake emblem and paint victory red around it. once painted they removed the tape to reveal the jake emblem left over in carbon from the hood and then the whole hood was clear coated. hope that makes sense.
removing vinyl won't cause any issues removing the jake b/c the carbon fiber jake is the actual hood.
since it is half the weight as the stock hood you have to close it higher than 4-5". i usually will lay the hood down gently and press each corner down to latch it.
if we were to ship it, i would ship through LG. they can crate and ship it for about $300 and we would insure so if there are any damages they would be fixed by the shipping company.

Can you send/post some close-up shots of how the rear corners fit? I'm definitely interested, although I'd need to paint it.

reminder it's a full real carbon fiber hood and only weighs a little over 13lbs compared to 26+ stock. took this pic from halltech's site of the underneath since my car is at the shop. this isn't a part fiber glass part carbon fiber hood.
