Default FS: TTIX Twin Turbo Kit

***SOLD***

I'm selling my 62/65 TTIX kit with Champion Motors 3" downpipes. The turbos needed to come out to be refreshed and I've decided I'm ready for something else so I've removed the kit. Turbos have been freshly rebuilt since taking them off.

The charge pipe is set up for a card style MAF, and has holes drilled for an Alky Control dual nozzle meth injection kit and NX nitrous nozzle.

It has a race version sheet metal intercooler which is 4 1/2" thick and has two Tial Q BOV's on it.

The downpipes are Champion Motors stainless steel 3" downpipes which use the Turbonetics Evolution 35mm wastegates. With the 9 PSI springs and 1 PSI shims it made 11.5 PSI on gates and made up to 24 PSI via eBoost II on my LQ4 408. I'm also including extra wastegate diaphragms I had bought as spares and never used and two other sets of springs and shims although I don't know the spring rates off hand. I can also include the TTIX 2.5" downpipes which take the same wastegates if desired.

The turbos are Turbonetics 62/65 journal bearing cast wheel units. The wastegate holes in the turbos have been enlarged to match the downpipes to maintain boost control. The turbos have been rebuilt. There was no wheel to housing contact, just the turbine seals needing replacing, but they were completely rebuilt.

Not shown are the oil feed lines and drains and radiator shroud. Kit is complete and made 980/970 @ 24#. (dyno below)

$6000 OBO

Man I just went through all my pics and I realized I don't have hardly any underhood shots with the kit completely installed. Although there's not much to see other than the intake pipe. Here are a few. I'll see if I can dig up more.

Man, I wish you were selling this back in early Oct when I was ordering my brand new TTiX kit! Took George 9 weeks to get the thing to me and I spent $13,225 including shipping to NY and the $875 upcharge for upgrading to 3 inch MILD STEEL downpipes!
I'd much rather spend the $6,000 on yours.
Was wondering if that 4.5 inch radiator was ordered through George, or separately. I'm concerned about heat issues especially during 1/2 mile roll race events. Also wondering if I should get a breather kit like LMR uses on their builds.

-ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN BUY A C6 ZO6 BREATHER KIT? LMR says they won't have any for 6 weeks, and the kit is finally going in my car at the end of Feb.

I wish I had taken it off sooner then. It's priced to sell as you can see.

Ths 4.5" intercooler is a TTI piece but I got it from TPE. It has bigger inlets (3") and outlet (4").

Do you remember what you paid to upgrade to that bigger intercooler?
I'm wondering why you didn't make more power.
Lethal Performance in Sant Antonio has several cars with built 427s and descent heads and turbo cam and dual nozzle meth injection with around 10.5:1 compression and E85 making between 1,100-1,290 Rwhp.
I bought the kit specifically to make that kind of power.
Am I missing something here?

I traded my stock TTI intercooler with Jeff from TPE who had it made for a project that got scrapped. He said it cost $1700 for George to make him.

These are not the Precision 62's with billet wheels and ball bearing. They are Turbonetics journal bearing cast wheels is the reason. But the Precision guys have trouble keeping boost down under ~16# even without wastegates because the wastegate placement doesn't allow for enough venting of boost. These can make 11# on 10# springs, maybe less with smaller springs. So they can't make 1200 like the precisions but they can make 650-700 for cruising around on and make close to 1000 on kill. I'm including my bag of wastegate springs and shims (not sure what pressures they are) and two new wastegate diaphragms which I bought just to have.

I'm using electronic boost control from a stand alone ECU (Pro EFI). Do you think I'll still have problems keeping boost down below 16#s?

Yes. It's a design issue with the higher flowing Precision turbos on the TTIX kit.
